Kitchen trash bags are so much smaller and thinner. We started buying big black bags and we have to put kitchen bags into them or the white bags just break everywhere.

Now do cosmetics like moisturizers. They purposely package them in very heavy containers to head fake consumers when compared to the actual ounces of contents.

Because you can’t count on companies to not play these tricks, a shopper MUST look at cost per ounce for everything to not be ripped off. And to see just how much they are jacking up their prices!

This has been going on for several years. Products went from 16 ounce to 14 and even to 9 ounces for hotdogs.The Dollar Tree had 3 Liters and now it has 2 reducing it by 34 ounces and more money as well. Even household chemicals shrunk in size.

From 2017 up to 2023, Kroger had these chips in a 14oz bag for $3.79 regular price, $2.99 sale price. Since 2023, they reduced the contents to 10oz and increased the price. The Kroger i shop at never has these for the sale price anymore, only their suspect markup price.

If you only stop buying for a week, corporations will just plan for the previous & next weeks to compensate. You need to systemically boycott major retailers, Amazon, Walmart, Target, SBux & all fast food places, and do so until they lose major percentages of market share.

Just wait until you go in the store tomorrow and those same shrunk items are almost double the price 😮‍💨

This has been happening since COViD. Smaller portions and fewer menu items in fast-food and restaurants, along with less volume and higher prices in Supermarkets.

That's on everything too including hygiene products.

Don't be fooled, all of these companies and the grocer are recording record profits.

OJ- 52oz was 3.98 Shrinkflation made it 46oz at 4.38 89oz at 6.97 so became... 72oz at 6.98 (that's a loss of 2cups)

grow your own food. homeowners own lawns. many americans are going to drive by thousands of acres of growable space to show up at a food bank. have backyard goats, work with your neighbors. victory gardens to the rescue. a Homestead Act would fix this.
