as a recent immigrant to the US it appalls me to see how many of its own people are so full of self-loathing they want to destroy it. Yes, it has issues, but far fewer than almost anywhere else, and there is no where on earth more exciting to live.

As usual, I was not disappointed.

That’s the crux of the issue. So many people take this country for granted. Our success is creating our downfall.

When the basics necessities like housing, education, healthcare, insurance, cars, etc. become unaffordable for an average person, you can't blame them for thinking the system in this country is broken and people who are elected to fix it, are just there to fill up their pockets.
