Samara Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev acknowledged the strike and urged residents not to publish footage of the aftermath, saying emergency services were working at the site and information on damage and casualties was still being assessed. A fire continues at the TsSKB-Progress complex, with Ukrainian assessments indicating that the strike hit a key production area. The facility belongs to Roscosmos and produces Soyuz-2 launch vehicles and critical electronics, giving the attack significance well beyond ordinary industrial damage. In Russia’s Samara region, one of the key enterprises within Roscosmos – the Progress Center, which was involved, among other things, in electronics production – was hit. Flamingo missiles were used. A good achievement. The distance from our border is about 900 kilometers. Our long-range sanctions also reached the Savasleyka airbase, where the carriers of Russian missiles that strike our cities and villages are based – about 700 kilometers from Ukraine. We also have confirmation of the damage we were aiming to inflict at an oil facility in Ust-Luga – more than 800 kilometers from our border. I am grateful to all the units involved for their accuracy. Our plan of long-range sanctions against Russia for this war is being implemented, and it is important that Russia’s war potential be reduced. Peace is needed, and this must be evident in Russia – through concrete damage to specific facilities. Glory to Ukraine!

A rocket damaged the only launch pad at Baikonur. The launch of the Soyuz 2.1a rocket carrying the Soyuz MS 28 spacecraft proceeded smoothly. The crew entered orbit and successfully docked with the ISS. However, damage to launch pad components was discovered on the pad. The lower retractable service cabin failed to retract into its protective niche and fell into the gas chute. Roscosmos stated that spare parts are available and repairs will begin quickly. If sufficient components are available, repairs could take approximately six months. This poses a problem because this pad at Baikonur is currently the only one capable of launching manned and cargo Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS. The launch of Progress MS 33 is scheduled for December 21, 2025, and another Soyuz is planned for next year. Meanwhile, Vostochny is not yet ready, Plesetsk is not in the trajectory, and Baikonur Pad 1 is mothballed.
