The question is, why wasn’t Jill Stein prepared for this question from Mehdi Hasan on Putin?

Wtf is wrong with you?! Putin is fighting for Russia's survival. Zelensky the NATO's stripper takes the war to Putin's doorsteps, is Zelensky a war criminal ? "Putin is fighting much more humanely than how West carpet bombs everything into oblivion" - Chomsky's words.

You think Putin invading Ukraine was okay? Do you not think a ton of ppl have been killed since the invasion?

If I were her, I would ask him if he thinks Biden and Kamala are war criminals for aiding and abetting the genocide on Gaza. I bet you he would stutter on that one..

I don’t agree bc that’s just another way of dodging the question. She should’ve just said yes, next question.

Probably because she came to this conversation in good faith, and did not prepare for this kind of “question piège.” The next US President (except warmongers) is supposed to help negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine. Calling Putin names is not that productive for diplomacy.

By that logic she shouldn’t call Netanyahu a war criminal either. That doesn’t wash. Of course diplomacy is the goal but this reactionary need to just defend Putin bc “America bad” is bizarre. Ppl need to think critically and stop being so reactionary just bc they hate democrats doesn’t magically make Putin a great guy.

Seems like @mehdirhasan just fishing for gotcha moments. Go back to the core issues.

@mehdirhasan I don’t like when ppl blame the mods for politicians dodging questions. She should’ve just answered it.

Bro, because Putin is not a war criminal. Russia is fighting a proxy war with and instigated by the US. But you know that.

Mehdi is looking for soundbites that sell well to his audience, not really to get a real answer and debate an actual issue. Very much like Pierce Morgan asking everyone "Do you condemn Hamas", the tabloid man is uninterested in what the guest is actually saying.
