What a missed chance to rework rangers… warlock with pact of the blade, hex and a fey subclass fits better the dynamics of a ranger than the ranger class itself. You can even have a small pet with adicional pact of the chain!

Reprinting the Tasha's version, but somehow making it worse is not a "new"

Hunter's Mark is still bad. The entire rework isn't a "new" class and to say otherwise is really a disservice to people who still have an ounce of interest in the new handbook. How did ya'll fuck it up once again?

That capstone is really disappointing. Having 4 class features, 5 with some of the subclasses, tied to Hunter's mark is really rough since it's a concentration spell. Since you go on about ranger spells being for utility, hunters mark should have just been a class feature.

Your Ranger video has more than 1,700 dislikes in 6 hours. By far the most dislikes of any of your class videos. Even the Paladin, second place there, still hasn't reached 1,000 dislikes. Your new Ranger is objectively a disaster.

This was a doozy, was it better than the 2014 one? In some ways yeah, was it on par with the rest of the 2024 classes we’ve seen so far? Definitely no, the survivalist/exploration aspect of the class is fine but the combat feature is just lacking compared to the rest.

Super easy rework can be extra effects as the ones in rouges whenever you use hunters mark or a parallel mechanic as druids so you can change free uses of hunters mark for other things as companion enhancement in beast master….

Making magic something that is “built into” Ranger is unfortunate. Same with Barbarian. For these classes, magic should be an eventual possibility. Not something cooked into the core.
