The Namibian Police in the Otjozondjupa Region have recorded a culpable homicide case after a vehicle with 11 occupants travelling from Outapi to Walvis Bay was overturned between Otavi and Otjiwarongo this evening. According to Regional Community Liaison Officer, Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, the accident that occurred at 17:15 involved 11 people, of whom one minor child died on the scene. The accident occurred 35 kilometres south of Otavi, after the driver lost control of the vehicle, following a rear tyre burst that caused it to overturn.
