The reason I hate Wave Warp. The Pinning can be smoother using the Blur + Alpha adjustment, but this solution is not perfect. Does anyone know a better effect that works similarly?

@lachamade François is magician! I created a shapes expressions solution for such waves but shapes are not fully replacing effects
