Muslims do not rejoice at empty churches. We believe it is better for a building to be used for the worship of God than to fall into ruin or be turned into a nightclub. There are no purpose built Sunni mosques in Tehran. What exist are what we call in Persian namazkhanehs, essentially converted houses or flats. Unlike Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians, and even Sikhs, Sunnis are prevented from having visible places of worship in Tehran. As for our Sunni regions, we owe nobody credit for having our own mosques in our own lands which are occupied by the spawns of the Safavids.
