“We have known for a while that he’s gone through periods of having no light in his cell, He’s been imprisoned for nearly two years, often completely cut off from the outside world with no access to doctors, nothing and held in prolonged solitary confinement.” — Kasim Khan.

Mario: He’s in a death cell? Kasim: Yes he has no access to anyone. He’s completely alone. He spent 10 days in total darkness. My father told me first 2 days were almost unbearable. But then he managed to enter a kind of zen like mentality.. the situation in his cell is bleak.

Mario: Your father is a very resilient man, how is he coping with this? Sulaiman: He’s definitely the most resilient and mentally tough person that I know. Whenever we speak to him he’s as strong as ever, he is not the type of person to complain about conditions he’s in.

“We only get to speak to our father for 20 mints. First 10 mints, he’s so focused on ensuring that whatever wisdom, religious and life lessons he has learned he can impart on us. Last 10 mins, he’s focused on how we are, and try to know about us he doesn’t talk about himself.”

“He is one of the hardest people possible to break. All of these tactics; not allowing him to meet anyone or talk to us, no doctor allowed all this is to break him but good luck to them he’s resilient as they come mentally & that comes down to his strong faith in God.” — Kasim.

Mario: He was offered an house arrest deal but he rejected it? Sulaiman: He’s a very principled man, most of his party members/workers and family is in prison he would never leave them there in that condition. He will never go against his principles.

Mario: What have u guys told him? If i were you I’d convince my father to leave everything & get out of jail. Sulaiman: When I was younger, I hated him being in politics, I wanted him to follow cricket & live easy life with us in london but living easy life is not in his nature.

Kasim: I wouldn’t ask him to leave everything, Half of the time he’s lecturing us on rule of law & justice in Pakistan, it would be just to go against everything he preaches about. He has a single minded obsession to try help the people of Pakistan and he is not gonna give up.

Journalist: He always wanted you guys to stay out of politics? Sulaiman: Yes, If you look at the two established parties in Pakistan, there’s a tradition of dynastic politics they’re dominated by two families. He hasn’t wanted his party to follow that tradition.

World should see how crazy things are in Pakistan. Allegations against ur father is mind-bogglingly stupid. I was against Brazil but 🇵🇰 is way ahead. Name of ur father was banned from TV, they banned X fearing him, it’s heart breaking what ur father & country is going through.

Mario: What would be your message Trump administration? All charges against my father are false charges, we’d call for any government that supports free speech and democracy to join the call for our father’s release and the most powerful leader in the world. Look & take action.

Have people been abducted that are supporting your father? “Yes it’s quite widely reported there have been journalists, supporters, party members, who have been abducted, tortured, and k¡lled. People suddenly giving up on politics & leaving PTI, it’s so obvious they’re forced.

Kasim: I was about to give the biggest speech of my life for my startup MIFU, my business partner go pale, he showed me that my father is arrested, but we have a thick skin with this stuff, we’ve seen him get shot, he once sat us down and told us he’s going against Mafia’s in 🇵🇰.

When he was offered the deal, did he ever ask you for an advice or his decision has been always made? Kasim: I don’t think he would ever, I don’t see him taking a deal to save his skin, he is a v principled man. He’s comfortable there as long as his mission is being fulfilled.

Kasim took @TheRealPCB to the cleaners: My father was laughing at their stupid, desperate tactics, like for the anniversary of 1992 world cup, he was the captain but they blurred & cropped him out from every photo. Imagine doing this to your captain who won you the world cup.

Khan believes he has grown more (mentally and spiritually) in these past two years than he has in previous 20, and he’s been strategising about what he can do for Pakistan when he’s released. He is always optimistic and he’s coming out of it.

How is Imran Khan out of politics? Kasim: He’s a very dedicated father, in his mind he has millions of children people of 🇵🇰, he spend time with us, he’s very funny. We haven’t seen him for a while last time we saw him when he was shot, we went there it was a stressful period.

Kasim: “When there was an assassination attempt on our father, we went there but it was so chaotic we had to make sure our food wasn’t poisoned & stay away from windows because of sniper threats. We weren’t allowed outside to meet anyone.” Mario Nawfal: Holy sh¡t that’s insane!

What’s your message for Pakistani military or people in power: “Respect the democracy, the people and their choice. They took his symbol BAT, they banned his name and X, did brutal torture anyone supporting him, but people came out to vote for him in huge numbers, Respect that!”

Sulaiman: For anyone who knows our father, knows that he is not a corrupt person if he was a corrupt he wouldn’t have struggled for 20 years, starting his own party, he could’ve joined any established party. Even the establishment knows that Imran Khan is not a corrupt person.

Q: What would be yours & your father’s message to the people? “Don’t lose faith, keep protesting. He has not lost faith or given up. He is not just sitting he is planning for the future he believes that change is coming. To the world: take action if you care about human rights”

“My father would hate me saying this but he is a man in his 70’s, he may look young & physically strong but after all he is 73 & he is being kept in a tiny cell with occasionally no electricity, no access to doctor, not allowed to meet & he’s been shot 3 times…This is inhumane!”

Finally completed this thread, it took me 5 hours to compile, and put it all together. Watch how brilliantly they answered every question, share it widely. The world needs to know the inhumane conditions our former Prime Minister Imran Khan is being kept in. #FreeImranKhan
