Density altitude.

Wait I know what’s this called? Common sense

So what I’m learning is, the reason I can’t fly is that I’m too hot. Got it.

Did they skip Physics class? 😂

Density of air becomes much thinner, anything else?

They just lost that money spent on drones over something they'd have learnt in class 7.. why education is imp

With the heat air got thinner and unable to generate enough pressure under propellers

Impossible! I saw Ezio using fireplaces to move up I the air with my own eyes

The hot air is rising faster than the drone props are spinning. Fly a drone over a powerful fan, you will get the same results.

I didn't understand, can someone explain?

But helicopters can fly over fires, and they operate on the same verticle rotary concept, so what's the difference?

Probably because of the fire

@matrix2004 There are many other reasons. This video provides an incomplete explanation.

I was so sure they'd face a similar air density problem with the little drone they sent to mars. But that thing flies just like its in earths atmosphere but with a red lens.

This’s fascinating

You mean like the fact that fire heats the air above the flame, causing the air to be thinner (molecules faster and more spread out) undermining the lift of the propellers. Damn that was an expensive mistake.

Flame consumes air to burn and air goes to flame. Drones can not use the air

Hot air rises up and disorients the drone and heat messes with the sensors.

Uh, it can't be air density. Drones fly on Mars with an atmospheric density less than 1 percent of earth's. See NASA films 🤣
