@TAB_touch Game is dying in traditional States thanks to VFL .. the game could be so much better but poor administration is stifling the growth. Supporters are the ones that pay the price.

@TAB_touch The AFL know exactly what they are doing. 25 years ago they wanted Brisbane to win flags and with the help of the salary cap hey presto three in a row. Nothing has changed, they still want flags out of Queensland as they want to conquer the new frontier.

@TAB_touch For some reason bids in the first round have a 10% discount on them. If pick 1 was worth 1000 points the club matching only needs to find 900. Why is there not a surcharge on the first round? Make clubs pay overs. No one will have an issue on a successful bid coming from round 3.

@TAB_touch FS picks are romantic, and I believe they need to stay. Academy picks do not need to stay. Academies are great for development but should be run by the AFL at a state level rather than clubs. Develop the talent pool by all means, but it’ should be accessible to all

@TAB_touch Just make it all clubs get an academy and can pick one kid from it outside the draft. Then the rest all go to the draft and no bid matching
