I've tried correcting ppl that I've seen eating them out of the pkg and get dismissed like I'm crazy.

It depends on the kind you buy. The flour kind already on a shelf are okay to eat cold. There’s others that are still raw and you have to cook. Those are refrigerated.

If its raw (read: has to be in the fridge) then you slap it in a pan for like a minute and its good to go. If it can sit on the counter its fine, maybe a little sad but its cooked.
