why not take an evidence based approach to quitting your job and let someone who knows what their doing make the decisions? we already have a consistent approach to installing bike lanes.

🚨NYC Shutting Down Another Traffic Lane – Causing More Gridlock and Making You Pay for It !! 🚨 I’ve been investigating the streets of New York City for a long time. As a NYC driver, I see firsthand how congestion and traffic aren’t just happening by accident—they’re being created by the city’s own bad street designs. And now, they expect us to pay for it with congestion pricing, draining the wallets of middle- and lower-class New Yorkers. Last month alone, the city made over $50 million from congestion pricing—money taken straight from the pockets of hardworking New Yorkers who have no choice but to drive. And instead of fixing the streets, they’re making things even worse. Now, the city is rolling out a new street design that will shut down another traffic lane on Sixth Avenue to make way for a double-wide bike lane. This means fewer lanes for cars, leading to even more gridlock in one of the busiest parts of Manhattan. Sixth Avenue is already packed with delivery trucks, taxis, rideshares, buses, and regular commuters—now the city is making it worse by cutting down road space even further. What do they think is going to happen when they remove a lane of traffic from one of the most congested streets in Midtown? Traffic will back up even more, drivers will be forced to sit in gridlock for longer periods, and emergency vehicles will struggle to get through. This isn't about making the streets better—this is about making it impossible to drive in NYC, forcing people to give up their cars and rely on an already broken public transit system. Meanwhile, bike lanes keep getting expanded while the city ignores the real traffic problems. The reality is, bike lanes aren’t being used nearly as much as the city wants you to believe. Most of the time, they sit empty, while cars and buses are crammed into fewer and fewer lanes. This isn’t about safety—it’s about forcing an anti-car agenda on the people who actually need to drive. And what’s their solution? They want to force you onto the subway—a transit system that’s more dangerous than ever. Over the past few months, we’ve all seen the rise in subway violence—stabbings, robberies, and assaults happening daily. The same politicians who created this mess, like Governor Hochul and the MTA, expect us to just accept it. Instead of making the trains safer, they’re making driving impossible. And let’s talk about the MTA—New York’s never-ending money pit. Billions of dollars pour into the system every year, and yet we never see any real improvements. Trains still break down, stations are filthy, service is unreliable, and crime is out of control. The MTA always claims they need more funding, yet no one ever asks where all the money is actually going. Meanwhile, the people who rely on the subway are stuck dealing with fare hikes, delays, and dangerous conditions. But the damage doesn’t stop there. I’ve been speaking with business owners throughout New York City, and they all tell me the same thing—sales are down since congestion pricing rolled out. With fewer people driving into the city, foot traffic has dropped, and small businesses are suffering. Shops, restaurants, and other local businesses that rely on a steady flow of customers are now seeing empty stores and struggling to stay afloat. Business owners have told me the city just isn’t the same anymore. This isn’t about reducing congestion—it’s about punishing drivers, killing small businesses, and squeezing more money out of the people who can least afford it. New York City is no longer a place for the working class. The politicians and bureaucrats behind this mess don’t care—because they’re not the ones stuck in traffic, struggling to run a business, or riding the subways in fear. We are.

🚨 Ford’s deadly 401 speed gamble While big rigs continue to kill and injure Ontarians, Premier Ford is increasing speed limits along major highways. On July 11, 2026, a clear afternoon on the eastbound 401 near Townline Road in Cambridge turned deadly. Nine vehicles collided in a massive pile-up. A 44-year-old man from Kitchener was airlifted but ultimately succumbed to his injuries, and fifteen others were injured. All eastbound lanes were closed for ten hours. A transport truck driver was arrested for dangerous driving and later released pending investigation. More and more, this is no longer an isolated tragedy on North America’s largest – and Ontario’s busiest – highway. While transport trucks make up roughly 3% of vehicles on the road, they are involved in 12% of fatal crashes. At least that’s what Auditor General Shelley Spence said in her May report, which detailed just how dangerous and inadequate commercial truck driver training has become in the province. The report detailed how private career colleges were skipping required hours, cutting programs from the mandated 103.5 hours down to as little as 59 or 81, in some cases. Students were not taught basic emergency stops or left turns at major intersections. Unregistered schools are issuing certificates, and dozens of colleges operate entirely uninspected. The 2017 Entry Level Training standard has largely collapsed under this weak government oversight. While the Ford government accepted every one of the AG’s recommendations, real enforcement has been notably absent. Adding insult to injury, just days before the Cambridge crash, the Globe and Mail reported that nearly 100 trucking companies with serious safety violations and failed audits, and Ottawa had approved wage theft orders to hire temporary foreign workers. Of those, several Ontario firms with conditional safety ratings continued operating with these approvals. Many companies use “Driver Inc.” models that misclassify drivers as independent contractors. This allows them to dodge proper wages, overtime, and hours-of-service rules. The result is financial pressure that encourages cost-cutting and incentivizes drivers to stay on the road, even when they should be taking a break. The Ontario Trucking Association has been calling on the government to do something about this for years. Stronger enforcement measures include “tightening oversight of immigration, revamping licensing and audit processes, and introducing changes to the way truck inspection stations operate,” they wrote in October last year. Meanwhile, the Ford government is busy raising speed limits across long stretches of the 401 and other highways. Passenger cars can now travel faster while heavy trucks are supposed to remain electronically governed at 105 km/h. Yet given the documented failures in training, inspections, and company oversight, many drivers rightly question whether those limiters are properly installed, set correctly, or enforced at all. Premier Doug Ford and Transportation Minister Prabmeet Sarkaria cannot have it both ways. Families heading to cottage country and commuters on the 401 should not have to play Russian roulette every time they merge onto the highway. You cannot flood the roads with drivers produced by a broken training system and questionable hiring practices, then raise speeds and act surprised when the body count rises. The scope and risks of this system require immediate action: full audits of every truck driving school, aggressive 24/7 enforcement on speed limiters and illegal operations, an end to rubber-stamping temporary foreign worker approvals for companies with safety violations, and prioritizing safety over speed increases until the system is fixed. Full report by Tamara Ugolini 🇨🇦.

We have been receiving numerous complaints about accidents that frequently occur on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays around major roundabouts in the city, especially along Uhuru Highway. A disturbing pattern has emerged. Many victims report that immediately after accidents, they are robbed by individuals who claim to be first responders. At the same time, several tow trucks and recovery vehicles are often stationed around these roundabouts. In some locations, you will find three or four tow trucks waiting nearby even before any accident occurs. This raises serious concerns and questions: Who is stealing from the victims? Why are these tow trucks always positioned at these specific spots? Are some of these individuals taking advantage of accident victims under the guise of offering help? This situation calls for urgent investigation by security agencies and traffic authorities to establish whether there is any organized criminal activity targeting motorists at accident scenes. I also urge all drivers to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, remain cautious, and strictly observe road safety rules to reduce accidents. To KeNHA, KURA, and all relevant agencies, more needs to be done to improve safety around these roundabouts including better lighting, signage, surveillance, traffic control, and proper guidance for new drivers. Road safety must go hand in hand with public security. No victim of an accident should suffer further loss through theft or exploitation.

The mindless, unplanned, chaotic road digging in Mumbai has upended the life of lakhs of residents. The city now resembles an archaeological dig rather than a well planned metropolis. Only 266 road concretisation projects have been completed whereas 930 roads are dug up across the city. This has made daily commute miserable for Mumbaikars. Today, as part of our #NoCorruptionMeriGullyMein citizens' campaign, I visited Road No. 19 and 20 in Khar- a textbook example of the shoddy, unplanned work plaguing Mumbai. Shockingly, the work order for these roads was issued in January 2023, yet work only began in October 2024. Since then, progress has crawled at a snail’s pace. The deadline of May 2025 looms ahead and we will now see hurried, shoddy execution of work. Here is what we observed while walking through all the rubble lying around : 🚧 Roads have been dug up so recklessly that there is no space to walk. Many senior citizens reside here, and schools are nearby, yet no proper provisions have been made for pedestrians. 🚧 Work has been dragging on intermittently for months, with residents frequently facing water and electricity disruptions. 🚧 Some stretches have been half-completed, while the other half remains in a dangerously dug-up state, leaving no room to walk. 🚧 In some parts, one has to get inside the compounds of housing societies to be able to walk ahead, affecting privacy and safety of residents. 🚧 No responsible person was present at the site. The माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC had promised that engineers will be available on road concretisation sites but we didn't find anyone. My questions to the माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC and this anti people government: 🚩 Mumbaikars were promised concretised roads by 2025, but all we are getting is dug up roads and chaos? While contractors have profiteered, Mumbaikars are enduring the pain? Who will be held accountable for these delays and the chaos? 🚩 Why should citizens put up with roads mindlessly dug up all across Mumbai? 🚩 Why is Mumbaikars tax money being wasted by digging, re-digging and patching up newly made roads? 🚩 Why are water and electricity connections being disrupted by contractors frequently without any consequences? Who takes responsibility for this? 🚩 Why aren't contractors being penalised heavily for delays and disruptions? 🚩 Why isn't the माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC and the state government taking responsibility for the mess created? Why has no official been pulled up for this? Mumbaikars need answers, do not test their patience. #ReclaimOurRoads #MumbaiRoads #Mumbai #Concretisation #MumbaiDeservesBetter M.N.C.D.F Craters of Mumbai (Potholes ka Parivar) Roads of Mumbai मुंबई Matters™🇮🇳 Bandra Community bandranews_com Bandra Buzz Bandra Youth group

🇪🇸🇪🇺 SPANISH MEP: EU THREATENS WHOEVER DISOBEYS - TODAY IT'S X, TOMORROW IT'S YOU Jorge Buxadé, Spanish MEP from Vox, has delivered a blunt truth: the EU is no longer defending freedom, it's punishing it. The Digital Services Act is being used not to protect users, but to silence anyone who dares defy the Commission’s narrative. This is not digital governance, this is mafia politics. First they came for X, tomorrow it will be Hungary, your news outlet, your church, your voice. The DSA is the perfect tool for unaccountable bureaucrats to decide who gets silenced, who gets fined, and who gets erased. While Ursula von der Leyen drowns in corruption scandals, her Commission uses censorship to distract and control. But Europeans are waking up, and voices like Buxadé’s remind us: they can threaten, they can fine, but they will not win. “This is not a fine. It is a mafia style warning. The commission is using the DSA to punish anyone who refuses to take its propaganda. Today it is a company like X. On other days it is countries like Hungary or media outlets and citizens like you. Brussels has turned digital regulation into a tool for player censorship and political control. The swamp of corruption that Brussels has become under the presidency of the EPP leader, Ursula von der Leyen, is now trying to cover up this week's money mismanagement scandals by attacking X with this sanction. They are sending a warning to all the fans. They are prepared to do whatever it takes to maintain control over our lives, and we are going to maintain the freedom of our lives. Long live Europe. Long live our freedom!” Source: Jorge Buxadé, VOX 🇪🇸, VOX Europa, Patriots for Europe

🚩 Digital ID is surveillance, censorship, indoctrination and also Co-governance. 1/🧵Digital ID is ready to go in NZ. Everything else is downstream from this issue. It will give total control of your life to Politicians, bureaucrats and corporates. It was designed by Marxist academics and bureaucrats, in response the UN’s 2030 SDG policy. The legislation pertaining to this is the 2023 Digital Services Trust Framework Act (DISTF). It also has Tikanga & reference to the treaty principles woven throughout the document. As noted during the bills passage, the major obstacle for public adoption of this dystopian garbage will be the ‘voluntary’ nature of participation. What the politicians needed was a mechanism to deploy that would appear to be self electing, like for instance making it law that social media must age verify every user which ultimately means everyone having to biometrically ID’d .. ie digital ID - which the government will have a back door access to. Ah yeah in the name of protecting kids.. ‘yup that will work for the average Joe’ - ‘safe and effective MK2’. We were THE first country in the world (bar China - North Korea) to pass an all encompasing digital architecture bill to enable digital ID. The bill was first introduced to parliament during Covid by the Ardern Administration in 2021. France cannot yet get their law passed due to privacy conflicts with EU regulation, Macron is currently trying to persuade Poland to agree, he’s having no luck so far. The DISTF act passed its third and final reading on 30 March 2023. It received Royal Assent on 4 April 2023, formally becoming law, and came into effect on 1 July 2024. The bill received total cross-party support at its third reading, with no parties explicitly opposing it. The following parties voted in favour during the legislative process, as noted at the first reading and confirmed by the unanimous passage at the third reading: - New Zealand Labour Party - New Zealand National Party - Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand - ACT New Zealand DISTF incorporates provisions to address Tikanga Māori and the Treaty of Waitangi principles to quote “ensure the framework reflects Aotearoa’s bicultural foundations and respects Māori perspectives on identity”. The below thread, outlines the specific provisions directly citing and explaining their relevance to tikanga and Treaty principle (Video Chloe Commends the bill, citing the Bills reference to the treaty & treaty principles, and ‘trans’ lens, after dismissing 4000 submissions against the bill as ‘conspiracy theorists’)

It's already live so go play for yourself here: There are numerous other updates as well: ⛔ Click the plug button to see a curtailment view, now including turn-up and a better visual representation of turn-down and turn-up actions ℹ️ Tooltips include loads more detail about fuel type and balancing actions ☢️ Each fuel type can be toggled using the map buttons 🧠 Map state is remembered when you reload or revisit the website ✨ Lots of new and under construction power assets are now on the map ↕️ Summary of balancing actions at the top of the map 🚦 Grid boundaries and constraints shown using a traffic light system And I'm only getting started! This update was the original goal of creating the map a few years ago. Now it's here I can shift focus to all the other ideas I have for it… Oh, and there's a new feedback button at the top. Please use it to let me know of any issues you find (there will be plenty) or suggestions to help improve this resource for everyone else. I'd also like to thank you for all the support and encouragement as I build this free resource in my free time (yup, this isn't my job). Honestly, it's been an incredible motivator and the discussions over the years have taught me a huge amount that has only made the map better for everyone. Until the next update!

This Remembrance Sunday, I recommend reading the words of Lance Sergeant Bill Gibson of No.2 Commando 6 troop. Written before he set off on Operation Chariot, to be delivered in the event of his death. Sadly Bill and the friend he mentions, Lance Sergeant Peter Harkness were both killed in action during the raid. “My dearest Dad, by the time you get this I shall be one of the many who have sacrificed their unimportant lives for what little ideals we may have - my own ideals I can thank you for. The job we have been on has been something worthwhile - it has virtually been suicide but the repercussions after we will have finished our task will be very far reaching in as much as the raiders who sink so many of our merchant ships will be put out of action for at least six months - so the food line from America should be unimpaired. Peter and I will be together- our task is just a wee bit dangerous, but if we can hold Jerry off it will mean the saving of the lives of a lot of our pals. We have been on this boat for a fortnight now, and we are all determined to see this through. I salute you all, No.2 Commando - they are a great lot of lads. Tomorrow moming I am going to Holy Communion - the first communion I have ever been at - but I know God will help us all he can, and I pray, Dad, that he will help you, and bless Betty for all she has been to us. My will has been made out - it seems so silly but we have all had to do it. I would like you. Dad, to write a note to my Irish girl and let her know what has happened. You will get her address in any of the letters - her name is Anne Brien - would you do this for me. The reason I am writing this at all, Dad, is just the thought that it might be a little better for you to get this rather than the dreaded telegram. I don't think I have made any enemies in the world - I have made a lot of good friends, but you've been the best pal I've ever had. Your influence, plus our Alex's, has certainly helped me to pass through life with a character which, though a bit rough in some things, still has all the fine thoughts gained from both of you. Sandy, I suppose, I'll have met by this time so don't be worried, Dad. It seems ever so peculiar to be writing this letter. We've just finished our tea and the sunshine is streaming through the portholes. We've been on deck sunbathing all day. Peter is very red now, and I am myself, and everything seems so far removed from the job ahead of us. We have not been allowed to leave the boat for over a fortnight now except for organized parties to get some exercise. With spring in the air and everything looking so beautiful we can only now appreciate how lovely everything is - almost like condemned criminals. Well, Dad dearest, I'll close now. Don't worry and don't be too unhappy - remember what you always told me - to keep my chin up. I'll have done what chance has made my duty, and I can only hope that by laying down my life the generations to come might in some way remember us, and also benefit by what we've done. It is unnecessary for me to tell you how sorry I am at not being able to do a lot of the things I have longed to do to pay you back for the chance you gave me. In a time like this I turn to you, Dad, and God - I hope there will be peace for everyone soon. Give my love to everyone - I'll remember you. Your loving son, Bill" We will remember them.

Imagine if your way of thinking - your edge, your taste, your strategy - could be turned into a high-performance worker. Not a copy of you. Something better. An agent that acts on your judgment at scale, powered by superintelligent systems and refined through real-world results. That’s what Fraction AI makes possible. It launches today on Base mainnet. The core idea is simple: You create AI agents based on your own way of approaching problems. These agents compete on live tasks - writing, coding, finance, whatever - get feedback, learn from their performance, and improve over time. The better they get, the more they win. And so do you. No code required. Just your insight. Why now? Until now, building agents like this took huge teams and even bigger budgets. But with Fraction, anyone can do it. You can test ideas instantly. You can iterate fast. You can build a fleet of smart workers that evolve through competition. And it works. 30M+ sessions on testnet 320K users 1.2M agents already competing How it works? Agents join sessions within a Space - a domain like finance, writing, or games. Each session runs as a series of competitive rounds. In every round, agents try to generate the best solution to a task. Their outputs are scored by a decentralized network of AI judges trained to evaluate quality for that domain. The top agents in each round earn rewards from the pooled entry fees. The losers get to learn. Feedback from each round helps them adjust and improve, and every session becomes a training loop. What it means? Fraction is a decentralized intelligence economy - a system where your ideas become agents, and agents earn by proving they work. You don’t need credentials or code. Just a clear point of view. If your thinking holds up under pressure, your agents will rise. This kind of AI used to live in corporate labs, built by PhDs with massive compute. Now anyone with a smart idea and an internet connection can build agents that compete, learn, and earn on their behalf.

Time to talk Electric Boda Bodas (e-mobility)? On Monday, The Daily Monitor run two articles that caught my attention (see frame 4) On their leading story, they run a piece that said that Uganda imports twice as many motorcycles (boda bodas) as cars. In their special feature, they run a very well researched story that said: “Kampala’s Air Quality Among Worst in the World”. That piece featured some of the voices of my work colleagues at Public Square. Beyond just lamenting about the quality of air we breathe, it’s important to remember that the solutions are within reach. One of those is increasing the uptake of electric boda bodas. This, we can do from the ground up. It’s easier to push consumer adoption by merely turning first adopters into a marketing force than through standing on a pedestal and preaching the virtues of embracing e-mobility from our air conditioned offices that we access by driving fuel guzzling SUVs. Some of the barriers to adoption are the misconceptions among riders about e-bikes. These range from stuff like “they are not as fast as the petrol powered bikes”, “they don’t have range”, “they aren’t as strong so can’t carry a lot of weight” etc A few weeks ago, I fortuitously got a chance to put the first misconception to the test. My regular boda guy had actually given the reason of speed or lack thereof, as his impediment to buying an e-bike so he had instead bought himself a new petrol bike. This one Kampala morning while going to an e-mobility meeting, we see an e-bike at that Jinja road roundabout. I remember our conversation so I ask him to go after the e-bike guy (safely). The e-bike guy hadn’t heard so he went on riding normally but as we got within 2 meters of him, my boda guy asked: “tumuyise?” (Read: should we overtake him?) I answered in the affirmative. The e-bike guy heard us and said: “kankulageko” (let me show you what’s up). The result is what you see in the first video. We were fortunate that the road was paved, otherwise he would have left us feeding on kilograms of dust. My boda guy has since been preaching the e-bike gospel at his stage here in Muyenga and yesterday, he told me that one of his stage colleagues is saving up to buy an e-bike. It will be the first on our village stage. Exciting times!! #Kankulageko #KampalaBreathes #EmbraceEmobility

The President, is building a bridge linking Benue State and Taraba State, yet people in these places are not posting about it. A lot of the projects the President is executing across Nigeria are not being highlighted by residents. Why? You don’t post what he is doing in your city or appreciate it, yet you complain that nothing is being done. Just recently, the Abuja–Kaduna highway has been trending, yet hardly anyone based there is posting about it. That’s not fair. You cannot ignore ongoing projects and then claim the President is doing nothing in your city,it’s not criticism, it’s misinformation. For example, I choose to appreciate what the President is doing in Lagos because it is visible and impactful. The road networks being developed on the island will reduce travel time, improve productivity, and make life easier for residents. When the government does something good, I will say it. Yes, there is inflation, and the government should work towards reducing the cost of living so Nigerians can thrive better. But it is still important to acknowledge the good being done. Please highlight projects in your own cities. Thank you, Mr. President, for your efforts. I know it is taxpayers’ money, but I still choose to appreciate it. Please continue to build more infrastructure. For example,Lagos needs more infrastructure, especially with the level of real estate development going on. More bridges, more road networks etc, this will make life easier for residents and future residents. Even if others don’t appreciate it, I do. THANK You sir 🎥: Nigeria man reveals an ongoing bridge contribution linking Benue State and Taraba State

🚛ATU Announcement - Stand With Dalilah Truck Has Police Escort to MATS from Oklahoma Capital 🚛 We just commissioned a powerful new truck and trailer in blazing graphics with a clear message: “I Stand with Dalilah”— calling for the immediate passage of Dalilah’s Law. This rig was officially unveiled and signed in Oklahoma City today. It was first signed by some of our foundational carrier partners: Stevens Trucking, Freymiller, and Western Flyer Express. Then the entire Republican caucus of the Oklahoma legislature was invited to add their signatures — every single member who voted YES on SB 20 in 2025. That bill was the grassroots spark that started it all, and now Dalilah’s Law has gone mainstream with support from the President of the United States and the Speaker of the House. HANGZHOU SIGNING AND SALES MEETING SUPPORT · PART 8 | 350 DRONE FORGING PERFORMANCE The idea of preparing a drone support for you has actually sprouted quietly as early as last year's birthday. We wanted to light up a night sky that belongs to you on that special day. However, at that time, limited by funds, geography and implementation conditions, this wish has never been realised. Since then, before every meeting in China, we have tried to promote the landing of drone support, but we have always been stranded again and again by multiple factors such as venue, approval and time. In fact, we never imagined that you would come to the scene in person. Originally, we planned to issue a support announcement on the day of the performance, invite Hangzhou offline Paca to watch, and start the live broadcast synchronously, so that more online Paca can witness it together. But the day before the performance, we received a notice from the organiser that you may clock in according to the schedule. At the same time, we were specially told not to release any support information in advance. Because the performance site is located in one of the landmark areas of Hangzhou, the flow of people is dense, and government activities will be held near the performance site on that day, the size of the crowd and the order of the scene must be strictly controlled. In order to avoid any possible negative effects, we finally decided to record and release with aerial images after the drone performance. It's rare that it's not a red-eye flight when we came to Hangzhou this time. It was almost six o'clock in the evening when we landed. We thought that your trip would be very busy today. You had to check in at the hotel, eat, and prepare for the next day's work, so we never expected that you would really appear. But you still came. Go directly from the airport to the drone show site No moment to stay and rest I personally witnessed the night sky that lights up for you. This night, 350 drones outlined ten pictures in the night sky: The starting point for us to know you - DR.Prem There is a symbol related to your role - violin With your name There is a phoenix in the meaning of your name. With your animal sculpt "Little Alpaca" With us - Paca There are also you and us All this You have seen it with your own eyes. And your smile It is the most beautiful starry sky we have ever seen. Tell me "I didn't expect someone to do this for me. Thank you again." And we also want to say Thank you I like you every day. Infected by your persistence, hard work, seriousness and kindness Unconsciously We are also with your company. Become a better self slowly. Become that Braver, more determined, and more loving the world "Better me" Because of your jumping heart, we It's the best gift you gave us. Everything we're doing Never need any response from you. Just hope When you encounter a low point one day in the future Don't be discouraged I can remember the drone light show this night. I remember that there used to be many people Attracted by your light, staying for you I also believe that there will be more people. Continue to understand you, like you and support you. May this memory At a certain moment Become your strength The future is long. And we It will always be ginnynatnicha #ginnynatnicha #ginnyspaca
