🚨People are not their governments. By and large people always condemn war and condemn the killing of innocents be they Israeli, Palestinian or Iranian. As I do. I say this as an Iranian: by all means tweet your support for the people of Iran right now, it’s hugely appreciated. But do know that any support or cheering on for the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, just because they “stood up to Israel”, is highly offensive. To the majority of all Iranians. Here’s why. Kasra Aarabi (کسری اعرابی) is director of #IRGC research at St. Andrew’s University and concisely articulates the ideology under which Iranians are held hostage. The documents are plain for all to see. They’ve made no secret of it. And caring for Palestinians doesn’t even come into it. Listen carefully.
