Fun fact: Ocelli may technically still be a 7-time maiden, but he actually won a race before ever making his official debut 👀 Before heading to trainer Whit Beckman, Ocelli won a training race at the Aiken Trials in 2025, ridden by none other than trainer and former jockey Joe Sharp / JSR Racing ⚪️🔴⚫️🏇🏻. Now? He’s coming off a 3rd place finish in the Kentucky Derby and is set for the Preakness Stakes this weekend. 🎥: Joe Sharp / JSR Racing ⚪️🔴⚫️🏇🏻

SECRETARIAT made his first start at Saratoga on this day in 1972, winning what would be the final non-stakes race of his career. It was also the first time Ron Turcotte rode him in a race, beginning a partnership that would change racing history forever.

A quick check-in on the horses and where everyone stands right now: After running in the G1 Hopeful, Curtain Call unfortunately cut his leg. The good news is he’s healing well and is finally back to light workouts on the grass at Palm Meadows. It’s been a patient road back, but he’s moving in the right direction. Sandman is currently resting in Ocala while the team evaluates next steps and maps out the best plan moving forward. Ewing is also resting in Ocala alongside Sandman, with the goal of returning to action when we get back to Saratoga. Silent Tactic is running for Team Casse in the Arkansas Derby on March 28th & Reagan’s Honor will be running in the Blue Grass Stakes on April 4th to hopefully stamp their ticket to the Kentucky Derby. I will be attending both to cheer on the boys 👏🏼 Flightless is still training and will hopefully make her debut this summer. Horse racing is a marathon, not a sprint. The priority is always getting them healthy, happy, and ready when the time is right. Appreciate everyone who keeps checking in and supporting these horses along the journey. 🤝 West Point Tbred Mark Casse

🚨 IRAN THREATENS REGIONAL SHUTDOWN AS BLOCKADE ESCALATES Iran’s military is warning that if its ports are targeted— no port in the Gulf will be safe. This comes as the United States enforces a naval blockade on Iranian ports, stopping vessels tied to Tehran’s oil trade. Now the stakes have changed. This is no longer just a blockade. It’s a standoff over global shipping routes, energy supply, and control of the Middle East. If this escalates— every country will feel it.

🚨 HOUTHIS SIGNAL ESCALATION IN ISRAEL WAR The Houthis have now entered the conflict — launching missiles at Israel for the first time. But the bigger signal is this: They’ve warned their forces are ready for direct military intervention if attacks on Iran and its allies continue. This is no longer contained. It’s becoming a multi-front war. And every new player raises the stakes.
