The Rescuers Down Under (1990)

One of my favorite sequences ever animated and storyboards! The true power of Glen Keane at work. He’s said that the scene to him was also about his relationship with his faith and trusting in god.

THIS is what made me want so badly to be a giant bird when I was young, and frankly I still haven't grown out of it lol

IMO this is one of Disney's most amazing moments.

Still crazy to me this film underperformed because the animation was decades ahead of its time.

The animation is so perfect it healed something in me that I didn’t know was wounded, thank you Character design references.

my love for eagles and owls started with this movie ❤

This came out around the same time as The Little Mermaid, and though that is the superior film overall, Rescuers Down Under has the better quality animation, where they really spent a lot more time on in-betweening and clean-up. Also, some great use of early 3D.
