I think it is hilarious that Candace believes the US government facilitated and covered up Charlie's assassination for Israel and France and then when she got a "credible tip" that France was trying to assassinate her she just turned over the information to the government she thinks helped kill Charlie and didn't look further into it. She trusts the government to protect her but also thinks they killed Charlie. Make it make sense.
