Heard an insane stat I heard watching Josh Pate’s show: Taking the Top 3 teams (Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon) in the Big Ten over the last 2 years, the rest of the Big Ten is a combined 1-48 vs those teams! The SEC, however, has had more depth. Taking the 3 teams with the highest win totals from 2024-25, (Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss), the rest of the SEC is a combined 6-37 against them. Still dominant, but at least there's the possibility of upsets. This shows mid-tier SEC teams are still competitive with top ones, while the Big Ten seemingly has little competition between Tier 1 and other layers of the conference.

October 3, 1982 SUMMERALL AND MADDEN CALL DIVISION-III COLLEGE FOOTBALL Wittenberg vs. Baldwin-Wallace During the fall of 1982, in the midst of the NFLPA's 57-day players' strike, CBS needed to get creative with their Sunday afternoon programming. So on October 3, the network sent Pat Summerall and John Madden to Springfield, Ohio to call Division-III Wittenberg's game against their rival Baldwin-Wallace — each school with an enrollment then of about 2,000 students. Three other #NFL on CBS broadcast teams called Division-III games that weekend as well. Both Wittenberg and Baldwin-Wallace, as well as the Ohio Athletic Conference, were paid $10,000 each for the game. The video includes the CBS open and pregame introduction by Pat and John, the first several minutes of the game, as well as some select highlights from this historic CBS broadcast. Certainly a very rare and fascinating broadcast — and I'm sure quite a thrill for those players, coaches, students, and communities.

New Banana Ball Draft Format 👇 1️⃣ Fan Franchise - Fans get the opportunity to franchise three players from Savannah Bananas, The Party Animals, the Firefighters, and the Texas Tailgaters, starting on Wednesday, October 29th and closing on Friday, October 31st. Fan-Franchised players will be announced on November 3rd. 2️⃣ Coach Franchise - The coaches of the Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters, and Tailgaters will franchise up to 8 additional players from their 2025 rosters. These players will be announced before the draft. 3️⃣ Draft Player Pool will be announced prior to the Draft. Current Banana Ball players who have not been franchised, and some of the most talented and entertaining players from college and pro ball from around the country, will make up the Draft Pool. 4️⃣ The Banana Ball Player Draft Opens on November 13th at 7:00 PM EST for the first five rounds for all six Banana Ball teams. @theindianapolisclowns and @locobeachcoconuts will get two picks in each round to fill their roster of 22 players. I have had the privilege of heading this tripartite department, which focuses not only on law but also on RTI and human rights. A few months ago, we had a very successful all-India-level meeting at the Vigyan Bhawan, where we tried to bring people from all corners of India. Carrying forward from there: 👉 The first facet we discussed today, in line with Shri Rahul Gandhi's great initiative to revitalise district units, is that we are now making, reconstituting, operationalising, identifying, and listing for each administrative district of India a team of at least 5 senior persons from these three subjects. They will be our eyes and ears on the ground, including coordinators, actors, and movers. And this will be put together in a final list for all of India after being addressed for each district and will be done by the state chairman in consultation with us, and where there are no state chairpersons, through the nominees at the central level. 👉 The second facet we discussed is the operationalising of a Rapid Response Force, the RRF, at the state level, having a minimum of 5 senior people who can take up cudgels on behalf of the Congress party in legal matters in the court - to argue, seek relief and get things moving inside the court. We have given it a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The third facet is the building of a directory an all-India directory, searchable both by state as well as by alphabetical name across all these categories of all those involved in our department. Again, we have given this a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The fifth and the last important facet is to try and involve youngsters, possibly between the ages 21 and 30, who want to be associated with the Congress and legal professionals - including RTI and human rights professionals. They will be tied up in an internship programme with our 127 MPs in the first phase on the said three subjects with the Congress approach, with the Congress ecosystem. They are not necessarily required to be part of the Congress as of now. If this works well, then we will also expand it to each MLA in each assembly-level position. I am thankful to all the people who attended the meeting. We had representatives from across India. So we hope to kind of tie all this together and have another function where we will present this to the Congress President Kharge ji and LoP Rahul Gandhi ji in the near future. : Chairman, AICC Law, RTI & Human Rights Department Shri Abhishek Singhvi

Is Aidan Chiles the most UNDERRATED QB in the Big Ten heading into 2025? Michigan State’s dual-threat star has all the tools to be a Top-3 QB in the conference. A former Big Ten coach even said Chiles’ has continued to improve this offseason and his arm strength and mobility will make him a “nightmare” for defenses, with the ability to lead the Spartans’ offense to new heights. At the Michigan State pro day, NFL scouts were even talking about being at Michigan State games next year just to watch Chiles play. One Big Ten coach last year called him a “raw but electric talent” with first-round potential if the coaching staff knows how to develop him.
