Sylvanus Nwankwo, the representative of Omuma State Constituency and the Minority Leader of the Assembly, along with Hon. Peter Abbey from Degema State Constituency, have urged their fellow legislators to pursue a peaceful resolution to the current impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu.

He disowned the statement asking the Chief Judge of Rivers State to comply with the court order, which barred him from receiving any impeachment notice from the Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly. Morka also clarified that the individual (Darlington Nwaju) behind the statement does not speak for Rivers State APC.
