I'm not watching this but for what it's worth this Fandom has no grasp on the actual story that's why they can accept the live action atrocity as a faithful adaptation. They live spamming that"feel for the character's facade" for boys but don't see that it also applies to Robin.

I mean at the end of the day Oda himself did approve of it so either he sees it as a detail that isn’t too important or (the most likely of the two) this version of Robin is just more brutal and cares for marine lives less than her manga/anime counterpart.
