Origins of Rock and Roll, by the almighty Led Zeppelin, According to guitarist Jimmy Page, 'Rock and Roll' developed from a spontaneous jam session that occurred after the band became frustrated while attempting to finish recording "Four Sticks" at the Headley Grange mansion they had rented in Hampshire, England. During a break, John Bonham began playing the drum intro to the 1957 song "Keep A-Knockin'" by Little Richard, to which Page added a Chuck Berry-style guitar riff. The rest of the band members reportedly joined in "one by one." Ian Stewart was also present at the session performing piano. Realizing the potential in the new idea, the band immediately put "Four Sticks" on the "back burner." The tapes were rolling, and after improvising the first section of the song, the basis of the rest of the song was completed in around fifteen minutes. Robert Plant wrote the lyrics, which were a response to critics who claimed their previous album, Led Zeppelin III, wasn't really rock and roll. Led Zeppelin III had more of an acoustic folk sound, and Plant wanted to prove they could still rock out. "We just thought rock and roll needed to be taken on again," he told Creem in 1988. "I was finally in a really successful band, and we felt it was time for actually kicking ass. It wasn't an intellectual thing, 'cause we didn't have time for that - we just wanted to let it all come flooding out. It was a very animal thing, a hellishly powerful thing, what we were doing." Initially, the band called the song "It's Been a Long Time'' but they eventually decided on 'Rock and Roll' which sounds way better and defines the genre with the song itself. AOC: "Think that Prime Minister carney's remarks that the World Economic Forum were, um, were words that run around the world in raising this question. But I think that also, in his remarks, as long and as well as part of this larger conversation, there was this undertone, this undercurrent, this suggestion that it was a rules, based order sometimes. And I think that that is the, the issue that lies before us is that in a in a so called rules, based order, the rules for whom, because for all too long, the rules only applied to the United States, europe, its allies, and we would carve out exceptions for the global South. And I think that when you have a rules, based order where you carve out exceptions to our values, exceptions to our rules, eventually the exceptions become the rules. And I think that, to your original point, over the last five years, we've seen such a breaking and such a fraying of these alleged Western values that people wonder if it ever existed in the first place. So I don't know if it's necessarily that we were in a post, if we are in a post, rules based order, I think it's possible that we were in a pre rules based order, and we have an opportunity to explore what a world would look like if we upheld democracy. Human rights, trade that actually centers working class people, instead of accruing overwhelmingly the benefits of trade to the wealthiest Um. But if we reoriented a new era that could actually help people and show how foreign policy and healthy foreign policy can show up and help them in their lives."

They’re planing to have Hobi for the next live and have a discussion about Hobi’s Seokcheong honey😭 🐨: Next time J-Hope comes, we’ll discuss J-Hope’s Seokcheong honey. What exactly are the effects of J-Hope's Seokcheong? 🐹: It’s so good 🐻: We really talked about this a lot too 🐹: We really need to get seokcheong 🐻: Why can’t we get this rock honey abroad? 🐨: And why does J-Hope’s rock honey have a texture that’s different from regular honey? 🐻: Why is Himalayan rock honey toxic? 🐹: But now, Hobi’s honey is almost finished, so we need to refill it. 🐹: Taehyung and I felt a bit guilty about the rock honey, so we played rock-paper-scissors and agreed only the winner would eat it, but even though Taehyung lost, he still ate it. What do you think about this? 🐨: Well, actually… 🐹: Isn’t that… kind of a pretty shameless thing to do? No matter how well you have to perform, if I can’t eat Hobi’s rock honey in that situation, I feel like my condition for the day might be off—kind of like a superstition… right? 🐻: I have that kind of superstition 🐹: But we made a promise, didn't we? 🐻: A promise? Hyung. Ah, right 🐹: We made a promise, remember? 🐨: If we were going to play rock-paper-scissors, we shouldn’t have done it then. 🐹: Exactly! 🐻: Ah, the promise. 🐹: We made a promise. 🐻: A promise, okay. 🐹: So what are you going to do next time? Are we really going to let only the winner of rock-paper-scissors eat it? If you say no, then we don’t have to do it anymore. But that wouldn’t be fun. 🐻: But to me, rock honey is like a kind of adrenaline shot for the concert. 🐹: When did you start eating it? 🐨: At first, it was like, “why would anyone eat that?” “What even is that? 🐹: “Just eat normal honey.” 🐹: I clearly heard it, “why would you eat something like this?” “Just eat honey” I clearly heard it during the concert in Korea. 🐨: “The aura is leaving” “ You kidnapped a great honeybee just because you wanted to eat some great honey." 🐹: “At some point, this rock honey started to mean something to me” 🐨: “If I don’t have this rock honey, I get down right away.” 🐻: The effect of Seokcheong was truly remarkable. 🐹: It was amazing 🐨: We’ve been eating J-Hope’s rock honey so much lately that 🐹: There’s not much left, just this much 🐨: Next time, let’s do a J-Hope special guest segment and bring out his rock honey
