I heard about Aubree Archibeck about 5 years ago when her dad randomly emailed me and sent me a video of her singing. I knew that someday we’d find something to collab on when the right song came along. And as I was working on this version of “How Great Thou Art” …Aubree immediately came to mind. I just knew. She was the perfect person to bring this song to the world. A combination of her heart, spirit, and her incredible voice. It was such an honor and a joy working with her and creating a powerful orchestral version of this song for the new album, THE RESURRECTION OF A KING. The full video is now on YouTube! I met this lady through a video of my set that went viral when i had a gig in Soshanguve Shortleft, her video made my song viral. Then I featured her on the music video of the song and thats when promoters asked for her appearance at my gigs. The girl also made a tattoo of my song. That’s when I realised the passion and love she has for music, yesterday I decided to endorse her by taking her to DJ lessons to persuade her dreams in music.

One thing I really loved about this showing of Speed Racer is they shown a little video before hand and explaining very briefly the history of the film! I managed to record most of it. Only missing the intro and stopping when I thought it was over, missing him introducing the cast. I would love to have this in full for archives in the museum!

Hold You Forever - an original song for Aemeath The lyrics for this piece were actually written many years before Wuthering Waves was released. I was in a very dark place in life, and I made the song about themes of loss, loneliness/isolation, and reaching for hope. When the story of Aemeath was revealed, I was surprised by how closely the emotions in the lyrics aligned with her journey. This is what happens when you put a woman to do a man’s job. I mean, of course women are welcome in the world of video games, whether as developers, as people involved in the industry in some way or simply as players. But this mentality that everything has to appeal to everyone, and then putting a woman to make decisions in a franchise that has always been very focused on a male audience, is a very, very big risk. If you’re going to put a woman in charge of products aimed at a male audience, she has to be very good at understanding what men want and have the professionalism to respect that. In the case of this video, we can clearly see that this was not what happened. This woman cared more about putting in “cute” and “nice” things that suit her own taste instead of focusing on pleasing the target audience. And look… I’ve been to a neko café in Japan. It’s wonderful. I love cats, I’m a proud cat lover, and I’m not ashamed of that. I’ve rescued more than 10 cats from the streets, I love these little creatures. But for the love of God… I don’t want to see cute little kittens in my shooter, which is supposed to be full of testosterone.
