Over the years, a culture of materialism crept into our movement, and we failed to arrest it before it took root. They say the ANC has become a home for thieves. We must confront that reality honestly. We must be firm. We must be decisive in the fight against corruption. There can be no room for those who use the movement for personal enrichment. We must restore the integrity and values of the African National Congress. Comrades, it is the volunteers on the ground who continue to carry this movement, and the overwhelming majority of them are women.
