The Rose Galaxies Project or Codename Nebula.🥀 This Project takes inspiration from the recent cosmic phenomenon known as the “rose made of galaxies,” which was published by NASA and shared by SB19. This initiative seeks to resonate with their Wakas at Simula era. This cosmic companionship mirrors the bond...

I’m so happy to see a glimpse of SB19 and BE:FIRST’s rehearsal. 🥹✨ It’s heartwarming to witness the friendship and connection they built through “Toyfriend.” Their chemistry feels so natural and genuine, like it was meant to happen. As a Filipino living in Japan, this feels really special to me. 🫶🏻 Seeing BE:FIRST behind the scenes also made me appreciate them more beyond the stage. I stan both groups not just for their talent, but for their passion and purpose. They’re truly inspiring, and I’m grateful to witness this connection. 🤍✨ Watch full vlog here🔗:

The Milky Way and Andromeda are currently separated by about 2.5 million light-years. Drawn together by gravity, Andromeda approaches us at roughly 110 km/s. Though this speed is immense, the vast cosmic distances mean the process will unfold slowly over billions of years. Recent studies using data from Hubble and Gaia suggest the long-predicted merger is not certain: there's roughly a 50% chance the galaxies will collide and merge within the next 10 billion years, with only a small probability of it beginning in the classic ~4–5 billion-year timeframe. As the galaxies interpenetrate, powerful gravitational tides would eject enormous streams of stars, gas, and dust—forming glowing tidal tails that trail across space like celestial ribbons. New star formation would flare in compressed gas clouds, lighting up the chaos with brilliant nebulae. Despite the dramatic term "collision," individual stars are so sparsely distributed that direct crashes would be exceedingly rare. Instead, gravity would gently reshuffle orbits: some systems flung to the outskirts, others spiraling toward a shared center. At the hearts of both galaxies lie supermassive black holes—ours at ~4 million solar masses, Andromeda's far larger. Over eons, they would inspiral and coalesce in a cataclysmic union, unleashing ripples of gravitational waves across the cosmos. In the end, the spirals we know would dissolve into a single, grand elliptical galaxy—a transformed beacon in the Local Group, born from one of the universe's most patient spectacles. 🎥 skywolf400

Breaking: Hubble Telescope Opens a "Window" into the Dark Universe — First-Ever Detection of a Starless Dark Matter Cloud! In a groundbreaking discovery announced by NASA, the Hubble Space Telescope has revealed an entirely new class of cosmic object: a vast, starless cloud dominated by dark matter, rich in gas but completely devoid of stars. Nicknamed Cloud-9, this enigmatic structure lies about 14 million light-years away, on the outskirts of the spiral galaxy Messier 94 (M94).This is the first confirmed observation of such a "failed galaxy" or relic from the early universe — a massive dark matter halo that gathered hydrogen gas but never triggered star formation. Hubble's deep imaging ruled out any hidden faint stars, confirming it's truly dark and star-free.Key highlights from the discovery:Massive dark matter core — estimated at around 5 billion solar masses, anchoring a compact reservoir of gas. A cosmic fossil — likely a survivor from the universe's infancy, halted during reionization (when the first stars and galaxies lit up and ionized surrounding gas). Implications — This "phantom" object provides direct evidence for the existence of low-mass dark matter halos that never evolved into full galaxies. It suggests the universe could be filled with similar invisible structures, offering a major boost to our understanding of dark matter and galaxy formation. For decades, theorists predicted these "dark galaxies" or RELHICs (Reionization-Limited Hydrogen Clouds), but Cloud-9 marks the first solid proof caught in the act.Scientists are buzzing — this rare "wow" moment could rewrite parts of cosmic history and hint at countless other hidden building blocks of the universe lurking in the shadows.(Source: NASA/ESA Hubble release, January

Its steady role in nature mirrors the progress of Chaco Vivo and $NKP. I’ve found a way to get Destiny home from Stargate Universe. Hear me out. By the time Stargate Universe happens, the events of The Ark of Truth have already happened. The Ori are gone, their followers have learned the truth, and the civilizations of the Ori galaxy are no long enemies. The Ori tech technology still exists. So why couldn’t that become the key to rescuing Destiny? Earth already knows how powerful Ori Supergate technology is, and we’ve already seen Stargates powered using energy from black holes. The Ori Galaxy now working with Earth, they can use Supergates, Ancient technology and black hole energy to establish a connection with the Stargate network near Destiny. Then! (And this is where I’m a genius) instead of simply getting Destiny’s crew home, find a way to establish a Supergate near Destiny as they can establish a super gate the same way they did in the Milly Way Galaxy. You’d effectively create a bridge between the Milky Way, the Ori galaxy and the distant galaxies Destiny has spent millions of years travelling through. The technology would open up Stargate to a new era of intergalactic exploration and thus the Stargate Universe as a whole. Hell. You could actually rotate crew on and off Destiny. In my not so humble opinion. Outside of Wormhole drive. This is how you get Destiny home and expand the Stargate story within existing canon. #Stargate #StargateUniverse #SaveStargate

URGENT BREAKING: The FBI and National Intelligence Agencies have just confirmed that this video which was shared by MAGA voters on X claiming that Haitians are voting in Georgia, was produced by the Russians. Here is their FULL Statement: The IC assesses that Russian influence actors manufactured a recent video that falsely depicted individuals claiming to be from Haiti and voting illegally in multiple counties in Georgia. This judgment is based on information available to the IC and prior activities of other Russian influence actors, including videos and other disinformation activities. The Georgia Secretary of State has already refuted the video's claims as false. Russian influence actors also manufactured a video falsely accusing an individual associated with the Democratic presidential ticket of taking a bribe from a U.S. entertainer. This Russian activity is part of Moscow's broader effort to raise unfounded questions about the integrity of the US election and stoke divisions among Americans, as detailed in prior ODNI election updates. In the lead up to election day and in the weeks and months after, the IC expects Russia to create and release additional media content that seeks to undermine trust in the integrity of the election and divide Americans."

📅🇧🇦 On this day in July 1995, the final stage of the Bosnian Genocide began when the besieged town of Srebrenica in eastern Bosnia was invaded by the Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS). Over the next five to six days, the VRS, headed by convicted genocidaire Ratko Mladić, murdered 8,372 Bosniaks. They deported thousands of Bosniak women and children, raping women en route. The VRS was the military wing of the genocidal "Republika Srpska" project, which aimed to create a Serb-majority entity in northern and eastern Bosnia. This project was funded and armed by Serbia's president, Slobodan Milošević. In Europe, Greece and Cyprus were two major allies of this project, helping Milošević circumvent economic sanctions against his regime. Srebrenica was a UN-declared "safe area" under UN Resolution 819 on 16 April 1993. This term had no legal definition and therefore stipulated no concrete measurement of defence. The results of this hollow declaration would become crystal clear in July 1995 when approximately 40,000 refugees fled Srebrenica on 11 July to the UN base in Potočari. Here they expected UN Peacekeeping forces to protect them from the VRS onslaught. They were proven wrong. UN Peacekeepers agreed with Ratko Mladić to deport the women and children, while handing over Bosniak men and boys to the VRS 'to be vetted'. These boys were ripped from their families' arms as they were boarding deportation buses. They would all be killed. The survivors of the Srebrenica Genocide and their descendants have taken charge of memorialising their genocide. They keep the history of their community alive while operating in a "Republika Srpska" entity which denies and glorifies the genocide. If there is one thing you can do to be a part of keeping the history of what happened alive, visit and donate to organisations such as Srebrenica Memorial Center. #Srebrenica30

🚨 How the World Sikh Organization Is Helping Legitimize the Khalistan Terrorlsm The Khalistan-backed terrorlsm is going global. Diaspora networks, funding channels, and political lobbying in Canada, the US, and the UK are giving it new life. The World Sikh Organization (WSO) is central to this. While operating under the banner of civil rights advocacy, their efforts to push back against terms like “Khalistani extremism” in official reports risk downplaying the historical link between the movement and terrorlsm. Through narrative control, political access, and international advocacy, what was once a regional threat is being reframed as a legitimate cause, turning a local insurgency into a global concern. Khalistan risks being reframed from a terr0r movement into a legitimized international campaign, making it not just a domestic issue for India, but a wider geopolitical concern.

At the heart of our Milky Way lies Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole with a mass of about 4.3 million suns. Recent observations from the Event Horizon Telescope have revealed something remarkable: the magnetic fields surrounding it are not the turbulent, disordered chaos scientists once expected, but instead form a strong, coherent spiral structure. These organized, twisted magnetic fields thread through the swirling hot plasma near the event horizon, acting like invisible guides that regulate how matter flows inward. They help control the acceleration and heating of gas, determine the intensity of emitted radiation, and stabilize the chaotic environment just outside the point of no return. This discovery, achieved by imaging polarized light from the accretion disk, shows striking similarities to the magnetic geometry seen around the much larger black hole in M87—despite vast differences in size and activity level. It suggests that powerful, ordered magnetic fields are a universal feature of supermassive black holes, playing a central role in how they feed, influence their surroundings, and potentially launch jets. The findings deepen our understanding of extreme plasma physics under intense gravity, test general relativity in its strongest regime, and highlight the profound interplay between magnetic forces and spacetime itself. Even in our relatively quiet galactic center, these fields reveal a hidden capacity for dynamic, powerful behavior—reminding us that black holes are not just gravitational sinks, but complex engines shaped by electromagnetism on cosmic scales.Future observations promise even sharper views and time-lapse sequences, offering deeper insights into the fundamental processes driving the hearts of galaxies.

Today, at Redeemer’s University Redeemer's University, Ede, Osun State, I was glad to commission the new Institute of Genomics and Global Health, marking a significant evolution from ACEGID’s @acegid status as a center of excellence. This moment is not only a proud achievement for all those involved, but it also stands as a powerful symbol of what African scientific leadership can achieve on the global stage. Under the visionary leadership of Prof Christian Happi Christian T. Happi, the team at ACEGID has made extraordinary strides in genomic research, particularly in addressing some of the most pressing infectious disease challenges of our time. The inauguration of the Institute reminds us that the work being done by the ACEGID team is a global public good, benefiting not only Nigeria and Africa but also contributing to global health security. The partnerships fostered between institutions and scientists from the Global North and South are a testament to our shared commitment to protecting and advancing human health. This collaboration has demonstrated what is possible when we work together to confront challenges that affect us all. Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bola Ahmed Tinubu health security remains a central pillar of our broader strategy to transform Nigeria’s health system, unlock the value chain, and improve population health outcomes. This is why supporting cutting-edge scientific research, like the work at this Institute, is essential. We need to create a health system environment with strong public health capabilities to withstand the potential and evolving threats posed by infectious diseases and the ongoing impacts of climate change. The pace at which new health threats are emerging is accelerating, and with it, the need for robust scientific responses. The innovations in genomics we are witnessing at ACEGID provide a glimmer of hope, offering us the tools we need to be better prepared for what may come. The Federal Government of Nigeria Government of Nigeria is fully committed to supporting these efforts, knowing that science must lead the way in securing a healthier future for all.

Wow! Send A File By Just The Camera! A vibe coder used AI to build a file transfer system that sends data between two phones using only a screen and a camera. One phone displays a new type of animated QR codes while the other scans them to rebuild the file, with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cables needed. It is fully optical and local. The system uses fountain codes that create each QR frame as a random mix of file data. This keeps transfers working even if some frames are missed, reaching speeds of about 129 KB/s for a 2 MB image. The entire project was built in one night and released as open source. The idea came from a music project where the developer wanted to share MP3 files without streaming or using the same network. Animated QR codes became the solution, showing a creative new way to transfer files with everyday phone hardware. GitHub link:

There is a room in Málaga that was built to be the closest thing on earth to standing inside heaven. It is called the camarín of the Virgin of Victory, and it is hidden at the top of a tower inside the Santuario de la Victoria. To reach it, you climb and the ascent is the entire point... The building you are climbing through was completed in 1700, and it was designed as a single argument made in stone. At the bottom lies a crypt: a black chamber crowded with white plaster skeletons, a meditation on death and the brevity of life. From there a staircase rises, and as you climb it the light grows stronger and the imagery changes from bones to saints. The architects of the time understood this ascent as the soul's own journey, the dark crypt as the stage of penitence, the staircase as the stage of spiritual progress, and the room at the very top as the final stage: the union of the soul with the divine. That room at the top is the camarín, and its dome is one of the most extraordinary interiors in Spain... Every surface is covered in white and gold plasterwork. There is no empty space anywhere. The Baroque called this horror vacui, the horror of the void: the conviction that a space meant to represent heaven should not contain a single bare patch of stone. Out of that plasterwork emerge angels, flowers, birds, and mirrors. The mirrors are not decoration alone. They catch the light pouring in through the windows of the drum and throw it around the chamber, so that the gold seems to move and the whole room appears to shimmer and breathe. This wonder was built by people who believed that if you wanted to show a human being what heaven might feel like, you did not describe it to them. You built a room, and you let them climb into it... -- -- -- If you enjoyed this, I write a weekly newsletter read by over 50,000 people who love rediscovering the beauty of the past.
