I’m telling my grandkids I was a NotebookLM user before there WERE limits. 🤷‍♂️

I am not surprised that Google is going to kill this product. It used to generate longer audio, but now it is truncated. By the way, I have been a Pro user for a long time.

The five-hour usage limit quite frankly is the bane of every ai user's existence! That limit is highly frustrating when you are in the zone and trying to get things done. There must be flexibility.

this is probably the change i’ll notice most. i have one notebook with 79 sources, so i’m curious how the flexible limits behave once you’re working with larger notebooks. the 5-hour resets sound much more workable than waiting until the next day.

The number of sources in your notebook will not impact your token usage! 💗

NotebookLM (Gemini Notebook) was special because it didn’t nickel-and-dime you every 5 hours. That version is dead. Deferred generation is just “come back later, peasant.” Dress it up however you want.

This is not needed at all; you are killing a good product.

Could you please provide an update on when the interactive Audio Overview feature in NotebookLM will be available globally in languages other than English?

At university, especially in degrees such as Medicine, students face an enormous volume of material, so usage limits are reached quickly. Universities should offer students an enhanced subscription to unlock NotebookLM’s full potential. Just a suggestion.

We actually do offer students one year of Google AI Pro subscriptions!

I know. My Medicine and Research students have subscribed since last year. They would prefer higher NotebookLM limits over Gemini or cloud storage: they handle large amounts of content daily and often say they’d gladly pay more for higher NotebookLM limits.

Hi guys. I have a problem. On the desktop version, when creating audio or video summaries, you have Hebrew, but not on the mobile version.

You're becoming more and more like a gemini. The quota system reduces computing power; unlike before when you could have 50 conversations in 24 hours, now the quota runs out before you even reach 50.

Deferred artifact generation is actually a solid move. The 5hr reset window makes way more sense for longer work sessions than waiting for a daily refresh. Curious how the flexible limits will feel in practice though.
