Why not? There are tons of developers making great games for old hardware with physical releases that you can support, and what they are making is better than 99% of modern garbage.

I remember Christmas 1986, I found my Christmas presents hidden in my mom's closet, I used a razor blade to cut open what looked like the original Nintendo system. I was right, I was so excited, I retaped it back up. On Christmas morning, my mom let me open that present and then the other 3 presents that looked like games but they felt extremely light as a feather. When I opened them they were just the boxes and no actual games inside. I looked at my mom super puzzled. She said "I saw you opened your presents early and as punishment, you can have the Nintendo, but you have to wait 2 weeks until I will give you the games to play on it" Mega Burn!!! I never ever tried to open up presents early ever again. Lesson learned. I played checkers, my mom was a grandmaster at chess.

The moment you got a game and a beat of time passed... I dont have a Sega Genesis... Then there was A BIGGER BOX!!! Oh man when the realization hit and you tear open the next present...

Fully understand that.. had those days mostley only 10-15 games at the same time which was already pretty good.. not every console at the same time, but i loved it.. today i have everything.. and yeah.. it doesnt make me happy as that time.
