The saddest goodbye was never spoken.

He had a full 45 minutes to just leave the door and close it behind him. Even AFTER the explosion he had time to re-open, then leave. They're not in outer space, they wouldn't lose pressure and destroy the entire place in an instant. Very dumb. Stupid scene. Bad show.

Why would that idiot blow himself up with the grenade?

Kind of stupid actually. Definitely had enough time to escape and then close the hatch. Would’ve made more sense of the grenade exploded just as he closed the door or even a second before he managed to pull it shut to show that he didn’t have time to get out and close.

Charlie had to die for Claire and Aaron to leave the island. it didn’t matter what happened, the universe was going to have him die on the island. In the end, Claire and Aaron did make it bake home✨one of my favorite characters

When youre in the moment, it was so good. I love this show. But now that im watching this scene, it makes no sense. Charlie had all that time to walk out and lock the door. At least leave the door open so the water takes longer to flood because they still had to swim out anyway

Charlie didn’t have to die, they wrote his character off because he was meandering. Comic relief. Bad backstory. The whole show meandered as well but that’s a different topic The music is what drives this scene watching it back 15 years later out of context. None of that makes sense but the music man…🥺
