And in both occasions the use of swear words in public is not an offence. Its the intent and the use of fighting words that is. So saying "Its fucking awful weather" is not an offence. But saying "I know where you live" would be a public order offence. We don't live in Victorian times anymore. Swear words are said on prime time TV and films. Everyone says them. There is no taboo about them.
