But Maids don't pay GST on the service they provide. It is the customer who pays for the service + GST to Urban Company and then Urban Company is liable for that. CBIC explicitly confirms that for notified Section 9(5) services (maids fall in this category), the e-commerce operator is treated as the supplier for GST purposes. Also assuming that no maid pays income tax as their taxable income is less than ₹12 lakh annually. They are also not liable to pay GST for the services they provide. These dumbfucks really need to stop blaming GST every now and then. People used to pay taxes before as well, now it is all clubbed together. And overall, it is better.
