The scene always makes me laugh because they really should’ve minded their business 💀

What bothered me about this scene was that they weren’t behaving like the actual scientists that they were supposed to be. They would’ve NEVER tried to touch the alien.

I mean that is obvious, but I’d rather just laugh at it and enjoy the kills than be bothered by it. To each their own

the most frustrating thing about that movie is how devastatingly stupid everyone and their motivations are. the power of alien and it’s sequels is we understand and consequently vicariously feel the fear of the unknown. all these scientists could’ve been curious AND wary.

The first thing you learn as a field biologist is to touch all the creatures -- especially belligerent hissing space-cobras.
