The scene that changed everything in Berserk (1997)

Surely Griffith will handle this well and won't spiral or do anything impulsive

I like the manga panel of the scene. The panel of Guts beating Griffith in their second fight to win his freedom from the Band of the Hawk is badass. Little did we know that the scene led to unfortunate consequences along the way aka the Eclipse. Darn you, Griffith.

This makes everything near the end of Golden Age so much painful. Guts misunderstanding what Griffith thought of him, and Griffith going off the deep end after losing Guts, pretty much doomed the world.

It's actually a few scenes before this one, it's the idea that's planted the changes everything, not the fight.

The one-time Guts was able to beat Griffith was when imhe was calm and composed, is thus how he will defeat him at the end ??

I still can’t believe Griffith seriously thought he could deflect that hunk of metal, crazy.

Peak

Griffith: I never had sex with him...Why is he leaving??? 😭

Грамота! Медаль! Грамота! Медаль! ГРАМОТА!! МЕДАЛЬ!!!

Il voulait carrément contrer l’épée de Gutts avec une rapière 🤦🏽‍♂️

And then this clown couldn’t handle defeat and ended up banging the princess, got himself tortured for a year, and sacrificed his band while looking at Guts saying “This is your fault” 🥴🥴🥴

Guts’ sword should have been longer.

Wouldn't most of the problems didn't happen if Guts hadn't stop himself?
