I offered a motion to send this bill back to committee. The House should instead consider my bill, the Boundary Waters Wilderness Protection and Pollution Prevention Act, to permanently protect the #BWCA watershed from this type of harmful mining.

"It's not the worst idea in the world, but if we pass all of the 'not the worst ideas in the world' early on, it's gonna be hard for us to reach a budget agreement... I would ask members for a NO vote today and perhaps this bill can come back as part of a larger bill."
