A lesson I learned from my mother was the power of prayer. The Scripture says, “You have not because you ask not.” Sometimes we call a friend, call a neighbor, call a technician, how about calling out to God. How about praying some bold prayers. Check out this message from Joel! "Lessons From My Mother":

The Scripture says to “guard your mind.” That’s the command center. By what you think, you’re building highways that are either going to help you or hinder you. Don't miss this powerful message, "Rewire Your Brain" from Joel!

“The thing about my mother is she would pray for anything. If the dishwasher didn’t work, ‘I command you dishwasher in the name of Jesus, start working.’ I’d say, ‘Mother, it’s a dishwasher. Let’s call a technician.’ How many times did I see things happen that I could not explain? The scripture says you have not because you ask not. Sometimes we call a friend, call a neighbor, call a technician. How about calling out to God? How about doing like my mother and praying some bold prayers? Things that don’t seem possible in your life, over your head. That medical report doesn’t look good. There is another report that says God’s gonna restore health back to you. Your child is off course. Don’t just pray, ‘God, don’t let him get harmed.’ Well, how about, ‘God, help him to fulfill his destiny.’ Pray a bold prayer.” - Joel Osteen

Fact-check the thoughts that come into your mind against what God says. “You’re not valuable. You’re unattractive.” Compare that to the truth. “You are a masterpiece made in the image of God.” Listen to this message from Joel, "Don't Believe the Lies":
