Lex Fridman asked Elon Musk what the meaning of life is. His answer was not what anyone expected. We do not know, he said. And that is exactly why we need to expand consciousness. Not to find the answer. To ask better questions. He believes the universe is full of things we cannot even formulate yet. We are like children trying to understand calculus. The problem is not that calculus is too hard. The problem is that we have not developed enough to know it exists. Consciousness, to him, is a tool for exploring the universe. The more of it we have, the better our questions become. The better our questions become, the closer we get to understanding what any of this means. This is why he builds rockets and brain interfaces and AI. Not because he has the answers. Because he thinks the only way to get them is to expand what we are capable of thinking. Most people spend their lives looking for meaning. Elon is building the tools to look for it at a scale we cannot yet imagine.

It’s important to get them down in your spirit, meditate on them, but the Scripture says, “The Spirit of faith is in our words.” Words give life to what you’re believing. Man does not have a neutral libertarian free will. We have a will, but that will is in bondage to sin. In our natural state we are free to choose what we want — but what we want is to sin. 1 Cor 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. Other than Jesus, no one has ever freely chosen not to sin. It is not possible, because man wants to sin — and we always choose according to our strongest desire. Only a sovereign act of God can set a person free from sin's bondage. Rom 6:17-18 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. RC Sproul nails it here: “(Your will) is free from coercion, but what it’s not free from is you.” We sin because we want to sin — not because we are forced to.
