If we need external competition our motive isn’t strong enough. We “won” the last race to the Moon then spent the past 53 years in LEO because it was all about the race. We need a coherent sustainable space E&D vision and program that transcends the “race” against competitors!

We need news on suits and how water & waste management will be handled. Supply chain handling for robotic & solar cell maintenance. Nuclear reactor program and how we will protect it. We are being too soft handed and quiet with our tone and projection as a super power. Now is not the time for soft power propaganda posting. We need hard power, heavy handed hardware deployed or we will lose the Moon. This is more serious than our nation's leaders realize. The hype is fun but the risk is brutally sobering. Billions flow in cash, with nothing to really show for it. If we are afraid to speak loudly for the spies in the back and sellouts then we have nothing to defend. Let's be real here. America won 2 world wars, back to back and the best we are doing is photo ops on iphones around the moon, plushie sales and delayed launches with other partners pads blowing up and another worried about internet speeds. They should be worried about the real cartel threats, people losing their minds, good employees being almost killed and careers tarnished. Blue Origin trying to expand payload processing efforts when they can't even expand pads at speed and scale. A lot of what is happening is nearly too late to matter. The opposition is gaining on our tail. We must act or becoming a footnote will be the least of our concerns.
