Bromelain is heat sensitive. You are literally destroying it by boiling it. Furthermore you are leaching all of the pesticides from the peel into the tea. You were literally drinking a pesticide tea.

Bromelain is heat-labile. Boiling it, destroys it.

Except as Mike Adams found it’s the most heavily laden with pesticides.

You can also soak it in water to ferment it, comes out similar to kombucha. It’s really good.

Not only pineapple 😉 While some call it a ‘new trend,’ Poles are chuckling...*kompot* has been our beloved drink for centuries! This isn’t just a beverage; it’s a time-honored tradition of simmering fresh or dried fruits into a heartwarming, flavorful brew. The Christmas Eve *kompot*, made with dried fruits, cinnamon, and cloves, is a festive treasure that wraps your taste buds in holiday magic. Yet, everyday *kompot*, crafted from seasonal fruits, delivers a gentle, delicious sip of home. In a world swamped with chemical-laden bottled drinks, offer a Pole a glass of *kompot* like Mom’s, and they’ll pick it every time. The flavor? Pure, comforting, and truly unforgettable. So, grab your pot and make some *kompot*—it’s fruit-fully worth it! 😄😂😋

Hey @grok can you explain this more?

We did a lab on this in bios 101 in uni. However, if I recall correctly, boiling actually breaks down the bromeliad. But you can tell by adding it to jello mix. If the enzyme is active, it will break down the mix, and the jello won't jell. If deactivated, it will not affect it.

Talking about pineapples while wearing yellow shirt with yellow glasses. That’s a triple douche right there.

The secret reason why you've literally never heard of anyone boiling pineapples in your life, and no one else has either. Boiling Pineapples was the name of my NerdCore band back in the late nineties

What about all of the incredibly poisonous pesticides on the pineapple. They have a very long growing season that requires a lot of harmful and toxic chemicals during the 18 to 24 month growing cycle. The herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides used on commercially grown pineapple is nothing short of dangerous to consume. I invite all to do their own research, and if anyone wants to extract bromelain, please consider only using certified organic pineapple.
