The Senate will shortly begin an endless amendment process, known as vote-a-rama. They'll do this twice, once on the budget resolution, which sets up reconciliation, and again on the reconciliation bill itself. Here's a reminder of how that endless amendment process -- even though it's endless! -- will ultimately end.

The House Budget actually does a job of trying to get to budget neutrality, balancing tax policy and spending policy.
