REPORT | Tens of thousands of people from across Serbia are marching to Belgrade for what is expected to be a massive demonstration against the government of President Aleksandar Vučić. Serbia has seen sustained, almost daily, protests for months since November when a train station roof collapsed in the second largest city Novi Sad, killing 15 people. Protesters have blamed rampant corruption for the disaster and since then the protests have swelled with many demanding the resignation of the government, which they denounce as a fundamentally corrupt institution. Vučić has vowed to use force against the protesters in Belgrade tonight and groups of his supporters have also taken up positions in Belgrade, raising fears of violent clashes. Journalist Dušan Čavic (Dušan Čavić) co-host of the popular YouTube show Marka Žvaka, is covering the demonstration for Drop Site. 🇷🇸 Student protests in Serbia erupted into violent clashes Protesters accuse the government of corruption and are demanding the resignation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. Riot police and armored vehicles were deployed across central Belgrade. The fiercest clashes broke out near the parliament building and a camp of Vučić supporters. Batons, stones, and smoke bombs were used during the confrontations. According to authorities, 17 police officers were injured and 47 people were detained. By morning, the streets had been cleared and traffic restored, but protests across the country are still ongoing.

🇮🇷Many on X are reporting that Iran's 2 largest cities "have fallen" to protesters They are referring to Tehran and Mashhad While this cannot be verified, I definitely don't expect the cities to be "under the control" of protesters, as that would be the end of the regime. What I assume is happening is law enforcement retreating, likely to their headquarters. But it is unlikely the cities have fallen. A heavy-anded crackdown is coming. Expect violence. But also don't expect the regime to last much longer based on how things are looking.

Once again at midnight, the Sindh police violently attacked a peaceful protest organized in solidarity with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s Baloch Raaji Muchi and in opposition to the brutal crackdown on the movement. Many of the peaceful protesters including women's were arrested and detained by the police. When the protesters resisted, the police were compelled to release some of them, though more than ten protesters remain detained. The state is showing fake negotiation on one side, while harassing and arresting peaceful protesters on the other.
