Serbia has seen sustained, almost daily, protests for months since November when a train station roof collapsed in the second largest city Novi Sad, killing 15 people. Protesters have blamed rampant corruption for the disaster and since then the protests have swelled with many demanding the resignation of the government, which they denounce as a fundamentally corrupt institution.
