The SHARP model from Apple is pretty amazing. I was able to generate a surprisingly good 3D Gaussian splat from the Big Sur wallpaper in just a few seconds. This is the kind of tech that belonged in sci-fi movies not too long ago.

Huawei's new 3D lock screen wallpaper is actually pretty interesting. Unlike iPhone's Spatial Photo, which creates a fixed stereoscopic depth effect from a photo, this lets you scan an object 360°, generate a full 3D Gaussian Splatting asset, and use that as your lock screen. Tilt the phone and you're moving through a reconstructed 3D scene, not a fixed stereo image. The part worth paying attention to: 3D capture moving out of creative pipelines and into everyday phone personalization. That's a different kind of adoption curve.

I MADE MY AI AGENT 10X FASTER WITHOUT CHANGING THE MODEL not a smarter model, not a bigger context window, not another clever prompt the same kind of AI that designs vaccines for viruses we have not even met yet was spending two minutes opening the wrong files just to hand me a brief from three months ago the problem was never capability, it was the scaffolding that piled up around my agent by accident, folder by folder an agent does not think in your categories, it searches from scratch every single time, and your tidy human folders are a maze to it the fix was almost stupidly small, one index file at the root of each big folder and a few numbers in front of the folder names slowest task dropped from 2 minutes to 26 seconds, fastest ones hit 10, zero model changes capability is cheap when the scaffolding around it is broken the article breaks down the whole system in 15 minutes ↓

The UV-parameterized Gaussian representation decouples the number of Gaussians from the number and resolution of input images, making it practical to train with many high resolution views. And the heads are not just static either: text-conditioned identity generation, plus blendshape-driven latent animation across identities. We've been building in the 3D Gaussian Splatting space for a while. The gap between "research demo" and "works on real people at scale" is closing fast.

A quick test of using 3d drawing with 6DOF controllers as an "instructor" for a generative AI process. There's so many powerful and fun new ways to create just around the corner.. Here I'm using Dreams, Krea and 3daistudio. The 3d model at the end of the video was generated from the Dreams+Krea output in just around 15 seconds. Only the model on the left is a "true" 3d model. #ai #madeindreams
