Shutting down evolutionary processes doesn’t seem like a good idea. His premise is wrong. Evolution produced kindness too; you don’t have to force it.

He's right about individual cruelty, but wrong about empathy. Empathy, without a strong moral core, is an exploitable weakness that leads to collectivist cruelty.

But empathy and kindness are the most commonly corrupted. It’s much easier to manipulate someone who is in an empathic state. Much easier to take advantage of someone, and much more easy to control them. Our instincts are there to protect us. They should not be dismissed so easily.

True to a relative threshold limit. At some point it turns into corrupt virtue signaling which is a twisted and illogical version of compassion.

Empathy is the key to connection.

Love this 💜 So true! Every day I practice the art of setting ego aside and coming from a place of kindness. Doesn’t mean the ego doesn’t ever enter in, but it is having the awareness and observation of yourself and the mastery of self through that observation that wins supreme. This is how we grow and help others grow in greatness.
