That’s a juvenile black bear. If one of them had raised their arms and yelled he most likely would have ran away. Grizzly bears and polar bears would be a different story.

Video shot by a Washington woman shows the bear slowly following her husband as he walks away backwards. The couple were eventually able to scare the bear back into the woods, but the woman said the encounter left her feeling “terrified.”
