No, the Great Depression was caused and extended by the Federal Reserve bank and FDR's communist-level social programs.

Wait, if we're much stronger now than we were then, why are we trying to go back to the economic system of then?

Exactly Ted the world today isn’t 1930. Back then we were just one piece of the puzzle. Now we’re the engine. Tariffs today aren’t about isolation; they’re about leverage. We don’t need to roll over for global supply chains controlled by adversaries. It’s time to use our strength to bring jobs back, rebuild industry, and stop selling out American workers for cheap imports.

Trump is the only guy willing to do the right thing regardless. It’s a huge risk but a massive opportunity

you know trump's tariffs are a disaster. you knew they would be months ago--because you're a smart sensate human being. enough please stand up & actively oppose these tariffs & go back to Congress and, along w/your pandering House colleagues, revoke Trump's authority to do this

Inflation is largely created by those that own the Federal Reserve Bank, leading to Wall Street and Tel Aviv

If the current trend continues with regard to business in America ( retirement accounts ) we are all in big trouble. Instead of posting on X perhaps you should actually be getting things done. Blah Blah Blah. Just another career politician campaigning 24/7.

Are you fuckn stupid??

Sure Ted .....going to be doing any town halls anytime soon?

Trumps tariffs are reminding me of the Boston tea party.

This is stupid, and you know it’s stupid.

Let’s wait and see how quickly Americans can start making what we really need. Ask yourself if we really need the crap from the Dollar Store.

The USA had the most modern manufacturing plants in the world in 1930 today China does.

Donald Trump is one of the greatest leaders of our generation. His tariffs are genius

Hey, Walmart Wolverine - you shit takes are oversimplified and moronic.

Trump tariffs work. Support them.

He called your wife ugly. Now defending the indefensible tariffs. How DO Trump’s farts 💨 smell? 👃

Go to hell you wish washy rino traitor You will be voted out you turncoat

Why do you push on code speaking Senator? Anyone on my position would have committed suicide you know? 😔

Good luck America this going to back fire on you. I wanted trump to win , now I think he is a lunatic. You placed tarrifs on an island with a population of 0. That straight up retarded.

Exactly...it is not 1930

What the country needs is to get the spies and criminala out of our country, networks, and brains. No other ways about it

All republicans need to stop being Trumps lap dogs and rebuke his bad behavior. Grow up. Republicans will never regain power again if you crash the economy.

Since the tariffs took effect well after the meltdown it’s not the only reason.

Really, I thought the bubble, stock market crash, and bank runs nationally because of it caused the great depression, simply put. The tariff act the following year may not have helped remedy it, but it was not a contributing factor.

Interesting take, but let's not forget that globalization has changed the game. What if we used tariffs strategically to level the playing field for American businesses and workers, rather than just slapping them on everything like Smoot-Hawley? Could a more targeted approach actually help our economy rebound without stifling innovation?

I just want to let you know Ted you're going to lose your primary
