No. It’s a Dependance-based ponzi-scheme designed to make you dependent on it because what you paid into it is what is being used to fill the ‘earned’ checks being sent to those drawing SS while you are working. Those people ‘depend’ on the government being there to force people to pay into that system to fill those checks. And when/if you start to draw your own ‘earned’ SS checks, you will be 100% dependent on those paying into it yourself, because not a dime of what you have ‘payed in’ is sitting in some personal account waiting to be given back to you.
