Well my favorite part was shooting and learning how to fight. I loved the interactions I had with Serbian Marines who brought me to the Orthodox church. How it prepared me to understand the Kingdom of God better. I mean I can go on.

"The entire church" didn't make a consensus; a council was called and imperially ratified. Big difference. Proving actual consensus involves a properly comprehensive survey of clergy. Second, it matters anyway because this individual has been declared a saint, who yet lauds Origen himself as a saint despite allegedly having heretical errors. There's a dilemma here.

Additionally Origen didn’t really castrate himself. That’s something his opponents invented after his death.

Of all the post-apostolic writings, he was the one I liked. To be clear, I don't agree with Origen, but still it was a great read before I left Roman Catholicism.
