The state keeps asking this stupid question "Why would you lie instead of tell the truth if you didn't want to go to jail?" I don't think I have to elaborate how stupid that question is

The jury has been brought in. They will be asked if they are able to disregard parts of Woody's testimony. If any of them are unable to do so, they will be excused from the case. There are 16 jurors, so if 5 jurors say they are unable to - we may have some problems.

No juror took the easy way out. All of them have indicated they can disregard parts of Woody's testimony and will remain. We're going forward.

Woody is about to take the stand, but first the Judge is reading the Jury this Jury instruction explaining RICO and how to consider the evidence.

Woody has decided to answer literally every question with "I don't recall."

"I don't want to say the wrong thing so y'all can lock me back up"

Jury sent out because defense has a motion for mistrial. When the state, in a question, said "the police verified your information", it was improper because the state is pretty much testifying and not true.

The judge agrees that the question was improper, and strongly warns Ms. Hylton against testifying in her questions. She denies the mistrial, but will tell the jurors to strike the question and remind them that what the lawyers for the state say is NOT evidence.

Woody testifying about the torture of Rice Street / Fulton County Jail

Woody almost slips up and testifies that he killed Donovan Thomas, which is what he was told is the only thing would get him jail time (other than perjury)

The State point-blank asks Woody if he killed Nut. The state previously told him if he says Yes to this question, they will put him in jail. He answers with a very unconvincing No and gets tripped up with the follow up. He asks to talk to his lawyer, so we break for Lunch.

Woody says he thinks lying to Police isn't snitching, it's just finessing

Woody says he told cops that he heard that many different people killed Nut, including Shell Kel and they just "pick and choose what they want to use"

Woody begins talking about someone who passed away, saying "there's no point in protecting him anymore, he's dead" but changes his mind.

Woody was referring to his "friend" Tay/Threat, who passed away a few weeks ago. He begins talking about how Threat was beefing with Rich Homie Quan and then "got into it with Nut and them". Is this an attempt to put the murder on a dead person?

Woody told cops that someone robbed Nut and later Woody gave him his stuff back. He later told Hylton/Her Investigator that it was actually him who robbed Nut and he was lying back then. He testified today that he "didn't the way Nut looked at me" when he returned the stuff.

Wow... Woody straight up admits that him and Threat shot up Rich Homie Quan's father's barbershop. He says that had nothing to do with YSL and was because threat was beefing with RHQ. He says what happened to Nut has nothing to do with YSL and everything to do with Threat.

Woody is actively taking advantage of his immunity now to "tell the truth" of crimes he did, which contradict what he told cops in those interviews.

Woody specifically asks if he has Federal immunity as well, and Hylton tells the Judge he does. (I personally didn't think this was the case, but I could be wrong...)

Woody testified that he gave the Infiniti (the one used in the murder) to Threat. This is what he was referring to when he said "I know something about the infiniti that has something to do with someone not even in this case" , which Bumpus reveled last week 🤯

Woody confirms he is talking about the same car that Thug rented. He says he asked Thug to rent the car for him (which aligns with Brian Steel's opening statement), then Woody gave Threat the car the day of/before the Nut murder.

Back tomorrow 8:45 AM. The case took a crazy turn today. Is it believable to blame this whole thing on Threat? Or just convenience for Woody to "put it on the dead"? I don't know. Such a mess.

Something interesting to me is that Woody allegedly mentioned "that Infiniti has something to do with someone not even on trial" early June, when Threat was still alive. So it's not like he made it up last second after he passed?
