The state of current scratch marks render the game often unplayable. The problem is not the brightness of them, it's the spawn logic. They don't spawn on corners, which are the most important areas for them to be. I wish this was being discussed more.

idk if this is related but survivors also dont make running footsteps when they turn on corners

Really? Have you also noticed that Balanced Landing survivors still make sounds when falling?

Ok, so I'm not completely losing my mind then lmao

Dude not at all, go to a map like Lery’s or Hawkins and watch the scratchmarks when someone leaves a room, you’ll notice they always miss the corners.

this issue has been one of my biggest frustrations with the game, they're so inconsistent i thought they were making scratchmark improvements a few patches back but it just seems like it's getting worse as time goes on

I think they've been focusing on the wrong thing, and it's the part people don't seem to be addressing. The brightness of them is *not* the problem, it's the fact that fundamentally they do not spawn in certain areas, or in impractical ones like ceilings.

its been like this since ~2weeks before the blood moon event btw!!

Yup! UE5 made it significantly worse with it spraying onto ceilings and walls too.

Its so weird cause they fixed it at one point then they rebroke 😭

I remember there was one patch for like 2 days when it was so good 😭
