looks like the battery is on the back of the headstrap lol. thats the only thing that creeps me out about wearable computing is the li ion battery exploding or catching fire hahaha i know its a rare thing but imagine that happening near your head? id much prefer a long cable to a battery. would also lessen weight. im assuming with the battery at the back they are trying to counter the front weight of the headset dragging head down >? steams a great company im excited for their hardware even if i doubt ill buy it unless something is worth playing on it

Interesting, controls look exactly like quest 3. No strap over the top of your head is concerning. But I would sure rather have Steam monitoring my activity than Meta.

I am sure everyone will love it even though it will be just as bad as the Q2/3 in terms of how its built. Battery placement, headstrap... Seriously? I want one one but seeing that unboxing didn't exactly wow me for a headset costing 3-4 times the price of the PS VR2.

Anyone else find it weird that steam frame is around the corner yet you still can't access the steam store from within steamvr? How are y'all gonna buy games?

This looks really good. As someone who's ignored VR for a long time this has me interested. Meta seemed to have a good product but the last thing one earth I want is to be buying into Facebook's ecosystem.

still wish it had wired displayport and color passthrough, though we'll see what the expansion port can offer also the size seems a bit archaic compared to some of the more compact vr goggles coming soon
