Today, I joined the family, friends, neighbours, and residents of Kiwanja ya Ndege in Kuku Ward, Kajiado South in mourning the painful loss of the late Phoebe Mwongeli Mbondo; a young soul whose life was full of promise, dreams, and hope for a brighter tomorrow. Then the audience cheer and clap a separatist speaker who says she is not Australian and never wants to be. This is extremely sad. It shows that many people on the far-left actually hate Australia and the concept of Australia as a unified nation state. The debate can be framed in the context of “colonisation” but the reality is that if the British had not come to Australia, the country we live in today with all the democratic freedoms we enjoy would not exist and most of us would not be living here. In a highly depressing turn of events, the day after I was berated by hundreds of Irish people on this app for writing an article that asked the Irish public to listen to the concerns of the Irish Jewish community, I have been sent these photos and video of antisemitic graffiti by a concerned Slovak man living in Ireland. He spotted this yesterday as he was driving on the R165 (Shanlis) from Kingscourt to Ardee County Louth. This particular area is known to the Jewish community as having been vandalised with antisemitic graffiti before in 2019 (link to article below). The local Gardaí and County Council will be contacted. To say there is no antisemitism problem in this country is a grotesque insult.

WHAT A TRAGEDY! I can’t believe this happened to these beautiful little girls. A future has been cut off in such a painful manner that is so difficult to come to terms with. May God keep their innocent souls in perfect peace. My prayers are with the bereaved families. May the joy of the Lord strengthen you to enable you go through this difficult phase of your life. THE LOST OF ANY CHILD ANYWHERE IS THE LOST OF A FUTURE EVERYWHERE. Can a mother leave her children? Certainly not! But the painful thing here is that, as the mother cannot leave her children, in this regrettable condition, the children have left their mothers. As a mother, I can deeply relate with the mothers of these kids and what they may be going through by now. It is too painful to remember and too painful to forgive. At this moment all I wish to say is that, I pray for grace to be sufficient for you in this condition. I pray for strength for the both families of the kids. Yesterday, I spent some time with General Aliyu Gusau and his family in Abuja, to condole with them over the passing of his younger sister, Hajiya Saudatu. As we join the Gusau family and the people of Zamfara State to mourn this loss, we take solace in the fact that she lived a remarkable life, and we pray that the Almighty Allah (SWT) grants her a place amongst the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus. What an honour and absolute joy, to see the incredible Alon Ohel, who spent a harrowing 738 days in Hamas captivity in Gaza, perform in Sydney this past week, for JNF Australia. The strength, the resilience and the hope embodied by this young man, is absolutely extraordinary. On a personal level, it was also deeply meaningful. When we were living in Israel, so many times we would walk past the Hostages Square in Tel Aviv, and my young daughter would stop by the piano kept there in his honour, and ask "Abba, when is Alon coming home, when are all the hostages coming back." When Alon was help captive, in those dungeons of Gaza, he played music in his mind while in captivity, to help him at least mentally escape from the hell he was in. Well, Alon is now back. He is free. The hostages are home. And we can all listen and rejoice in the beauty of his music.
