Here is my encounter with the Seymour, TX tornado and beast supercell as captured from my Insta360 X4. Note the tornado cyclone and occlusion at the 3-4 second mark. We then escape the 100 mph inflow winds to see the structure of this beast from outside of the rain. What a powerful storm that we tracked down using the RadarOmega Omega app while live streaming.

25 years ago, today, on May 3, 1999, arguably the strongest #tornado in History tore through communities like Bridge Creek, Moore, and south OKC. Here was our chase of this infamous #tornado as 18 year old freshman at OU. Still to this day, this is the most powerful and structurally textbook tornadic supercell I have ever chased. It was a lesson in tornado / supercell structure and in the dark side these tornadoes leave behind that is the damage and loss of life/property. Hopefully, we never see an event like this ever again

One of the best places to chase tornadoes on earth is the Texas and Oklahoma panhandle’s. On April 15, 2016 I thought this supercell was going to plant a tornado right on top of this Tractor Supply in Dalhart, TX. Thankfully the storm took awhile longer to wind up, before producing multiple twisters near the town of Eva, OK in the panhandle. The panhandle’s in peak severe season on a severe weather day is heaven on earth for a storm chaser.
