The style's appealing but it's ultimately pretty generic. Nothing here screams Tom and Jerry. Imagine an educational show that actually works in good slapstick. Entirely comprise it of gags like this and, who knows, it COULD work.

As much as I hate to admit it, I can see why a WBD US decided to scrap this. It’s cute and pretty to look at, but it’s so innocuous. It has Baby Looney Tunes’ problem where it’s a fine educational show for kids but it’s too soft thus doesn’t feel right for the IP.

It's bizarre because kids love Tom and Jerry. It's not like the violence of the original shorts is too much for them to handle 'cause Boomerang airs them entirely uncensored. I get dumbing it down a little for preschoolers but there's basically nothing here outside the odd chase.

that's interesting, but what do you think of this?

Exactly! That "Out-Foxed" clip is pretty much how Tex Avery would do a "Sesame Street" sketch. BTW, Reginald Fox was Daws Butler's very first MGM cartoon voice role!

Nah, leave it be. It's for preschoolers. I don't think we're able too really give a sound critique without having preschool kids ourselves

I do appreciate the effort at least.

Oh yeah, it seemed like it would've been perfectly fine and, by preschool show standards, the production is surprisingly well-done.

You can't help but laugh and feel relieved that whoever thought it was a good idea to greenlight this, immediately got the plug pulled. I don't know what it is but modern audiences just can't capture or replicate what Tom and Jerry was always about. This just feels neutered.

Now that you said this, I'll never look at this clip the same way lol

Finally, counting has been made fun again!
